Levy was directly involved in hiring Frank, he was still the chairman and had no idea a few months later he was to be shown the door by ENIC.

If we win the PL title by 2034 then il hold my hands up and retract some of the blame on Levy for our current predicament.
 
I highly doubt Levy was "removed". He owns 30% of ENIC. He owns what, a third of the club? He was chairman for 25 years. He was the top dog and there is no way that he'd have been challenged. He gave a cringey interview with Gary Neville weeks before, talking about how Spurs fans would miss him when he's gone or some shit. That wasn't coincidence.

In retrospect, Vinai coming in midway through last season gives off shadowing vibes. To learn the ropes and ease the transition over a summer transfer window. Once the window closes, shockingly, Levy goes and the club releases a statement implying that it's to try and "improve on field performances" in order to inspire confidence in investors (which by the sound of it, didn't work as we're apparently losing a big one this summer).

He and ENIC were property developers masquerading as owners of a football club. Now that they've extracted as much value out of us as possible, they're moving on. Levy was first, ENIC will be next. Sadly, relegation is likely to delay this unless they're prepared to take a bit of a hit (they won't be).

We don’t know that for a fact do we? That Levy hired Frank? I’d say that the Lewis family were hatching this plan long before Frank turned up. Would not surprise me at all if they said to Levy - just leave the new manager thing. VV will do that.

The set up as it is now definitely needs reassessing at the end of the season. If the Lewis family really want to be more involved then they will exposed to every decision and choice they make from now on. I'm ok with Vinai atm, like I said taking over from Levy and having to recruit heavily for the behind the scenes roles and restructuring the club is a difficult job. Lange is not the kind of character we need, he is indecisive, weak, unable to bring in the right skill level and mentality. I'm glad Paratici has gone and Lange should be next out the door.

If we go down then it will be interesting to see what the fall out will be. Will ENIC, which still includes Levy, decide to sell the club at a reduced price. For sure noone is offering more than 1 billion for a championship club, let's be real here. That's a massive downgrade from the 4 billion or so Levy valued the club at. If they decide not to sell and try to bring us back to the PL then they will have to be impeccable in every decision they make beginning this summer.

Do you really trust these owners to run the club properly? They had the club for 25 years, they've had plenty of time to progress the club and shape it the way they want it and ultimately we are where we are, you can see the kind of club they've molded so where is the actual trust coming from?

I think we are in desperate need of a reset and that reset will come with new owners.

Agree, ideally we need them to sell. No more ENIC, no more Levy, no more Joe Lewis and his family

History has shown us how many bad managerial appointments Levy made. No sense, no continuity of philosophy, different styles, Frank was considered an antidote to Ange, a safe pair of PL proven hands. Classic Levy decision.

So if you can see that, surely the owners of a football club, with a new CEO and a DoF can see that? Why would they let a soon to be sacked Chairman hire the manager when it’s not his job and he’s shit at doing it?

The issue with also attributing blame to one party is that there was no mitigation when they took over, you can't kick someone who has been in charge of the club for 25 years who has his hand in everything and as powerful as him and then kick him out with barely any handover and then run the club to your liking - that's absolute gross negligence on the part of the Lewis family and essentially now we've gone from having someone who knows the club inside out to having someone who knows fuck all about football or the football club running shit, out of the frying pan into the fire.

The way this whole thing has been handled has been completely amateur and as much as you want to blame Levy, look more closely at the folks who are running this football club for the position we are in now.

Yep agree about having a proper handover and that it should have been a long process because of the all encompassing power Levy had.......I wonder if Levy would have agreed to it though

He of course he didn't, he was on the Overlap a few weeks prior talking with Gary Neville, I'm sure he knew his time was coming to an end though.

Levy absolutely was removed. He was fired by the Lewis family. There is a whole legal shitstorm going on quietly with Levy considering legal action over his removal and insisting that he has the right to buy a controlling stake in the club himself:

[Bloomberg] Former Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has hired law firm Proskauer to assess potential litigation against ENIC, as he considers suing his former business partners, after being unceremoniously thrown out of Tottenham, according to people familiar with the matter.

LOL levy worked for the lewises doing exactly what they wanted him to do and he was better at the job than the shit stains doing it now. this idea that the lewis kids are being thwarted by levy is laughable. they're clueless second generation fail sons destroying the family fortune like many before them. i'm no levy apologist as he is literally an enic partner and in on all of it but the idea that the lewis kids have one clue between them about running a football club is absurd

I think this is right. Has anyone actually since Levy at the stadium this season after his dismissal ? Obviously not in his usual seat because he is no longer chairman. But in another corporate suite. Not once have I seen him pictured on TV.
