Hang on. is our football club renting the stadium?

I mean like West Ham are anchor tenants in their stadium because they're the biggest entity renting it.

But I think the negativity translates to constant edginess and uncertainty and probably has cost Spurs points. People were panicking early in the season before there was a reason to. If it affected the player's outlook and effort it wouldn't be surprising
So it's our fault as fans for not drinking the early season cool-aid 🙄

I personally never allowed myself to be gaslight into the tropes that were circulating such as "all that matters is the 3 points/1 point" when we were absolutely scumbagging injury time goals from the likes of Romero and Palhinha directly or indirectly from set pieces. Our early performances were blatantly unsustainable and not one person trusted Richy, our only functional striker at the time to maintain his decent form. It's what Richy does, he stats pads off of a couple of games and goes missing for the rest of the season, it's nothing new.

When you remove him from the equation and realise your joint second goal scorers is a combination of VDV, Romero & Palhinha it's pretty evident that the clubs indecision is actually what has cost us. We have been a dysfunctional from early on and if anything I'd say we panicked too late not too early. Frank should been gone after West Ham at the latest.

Only this fanbase could complain about the best football stadium in the world

I’m guessing by your username the stadium has no real impact on the way you watch football?

I think when friends and family get priced out and it becomes clear the owners are showing more interest in real estate than the football team it’s normal to have a bit of nostalgia. And not be that happy with the experience of watching football at the new stadium.

WHL was falling apart and needed to be replaced.
Going to the new stadium is a different experience.

It’s just a shame all the promises abut the new stadium being a game changer could end up meaning the big change was us playing in the Championship.

I may have grown up in spain and the usa, but i am tottenham by blood. All my english family are spurs. Going to watch spurs live is something i look forward to when i visit english family. My uncles in particular. The new stadium is awesome and if you are complaining about it, you are the problem

That makes no sense at all.

A friends grandad had tickets by the dugout for almost all his life. Got priced out. Replaced by tourists and corporate.
He’s doesn’t go now. And yeah complained about it.

But he’s the problem?

Okey doke!!!

An interesting take. I’ll take it on board

I like the stadium. But I can understand why people don’t. As per usual we are all built a bit different.
When you come over here sure you will feel the way my nephew does every time I get to take him.
Super excited to walk down the high street and see the stadium come into view.

It’s never gets old walking out into the bowl either. A world away from the old WHL. And I’ve just spent £200 to watch us play Leeds.
Rather be in the stadium making noise than watching it on the tv.

COYS.

Continuity matters, as does the players knowing the manager will be the manager for some reasonable length of time. I think it would have been better to let the Postecoglou project play itself out good or bad. It left Frank to try and implement a system markedly different from that of a manager and style of play the players had embraced. The message players get from teams that listen to demands to sack the manager is "We were here when he came and we'll be here when he's gone". If you look at the teams that have fired managers after short periods of time it usually doesn't fix the underlying problems.

I used to love standing on the Shelf at the old WHL but fell out of love for the place when it became an all seater. The capacity then was insufficient and led to it becoming difficult for new supporters including the young to get tickets. We needed a bigger stadium and it is impressive. I do not live near any more and cannot get a train home for evening matches and would never go to an event there. The events do not worry me and provide much needed income. if we get relegated the fall out will undoubtedly affect the owners as the value of the club will decline and so will the income. I think the decline in results in the football sides is more due to incompetence than neglect.

We don’t rent our own stadium, no.

It’s just that the idiot you are responding to doesn’t understand what an anchor tenant is in this example.

It means the football club is the primary concern. The anchor that means none of it would exist without the football club.

It’s different from say an Apple Store being the anchor tenant of a shopping mall.
