Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's difficult to know, not only because we don't know what division yet, but it also depends a lot on which players are available, good enough, affordable, and want to join Spurs.

That being said, I wonder what the appetite is of the owners now. Will they be signing players to make sure we don't go near the relegation zone again, or will they be signing players to aim for top 4. Utd had a massive turnaround, eventually, from last season to this, and they bought some top players. Do we have the appetite to do the same, or will our owners just want to avoid another shock (if we stay up)?

The one thing that definitely encourages me is RDZ. He just has something about him (unlike Frank) and his former players speak highly of him. With such a respected manager, that in itself will have pulling power.

Now it's up to the club to show their ambition.
They'll do the bare minimum again or just enough not to fight vs relegation for the 3rd season in a row. But they sure won't go all out to provide Berto with a squad able to challenge for top honours. They'll give him a top 10-12 squad at best, he'll make us a top 6ish team cause he's good and will get the lads to overachieve.

ENIC are a cancer. The past two years won't change a darn thing. It'll be the same old excuses again.

I wonder what the financial situation will be like come the summer? assuming we stay up I'm sure there will be money available but I guess the level of player will definitely need to be more "smart" than exciting.

Yes, it will be intriguing to hear what the excuses will be from the new lot now Levy isnt leaking them out. We already had nonsense from Lange in January, so I am expecting more of that. There won't be a proper plan obviously.

For posterity, ENIC's first window was spending nothing (we should have spotted the clue then).

Can't see Real loaning us Mastantuono for 2 seasons, especially since he is starting to break into the first team
Gonzalez has been vital for City this season and with Rodri rumoured to be heading back to Spain he will be even more vital next season.
Rashford is a big no. We shouldn't be entertaining him one bit.
Paz is about to return to Madrid, putting Mastantuono put to pasture for a while.

The Gonzalez stuff I'm basing on rumours he's available.

I am expecting big turnover regardless of whether we stay up or get relegated.
It's almost certain that Vic, Romero and VDV will go.
I can also see a scenario where Porro, Dragusin, Sarr and Bergvall are moved on.
Davies and Biss are both out of contract and can't see either getting extended (maybe Davies if we do go down).
Palhinha and RKM loans come to an end and whilst I'm cordial about Palhinha joining on a perm, RKM won't be back.
Deki is a definite candidate for early retirement until I see proof of life.
We must integrate Vuskovic, Moore, Phillips and Lankshear into the first team squad. No more loans for these guys.
Then I think a new keeper, a couple of CB's, a new RB, some wide players and a fucking goalscorer.
Simples.

There will be turnover, for sure. But we've seen it all before so we know that this will likely be underwhelming. But we can hope that with RDZ trying to pull up the trees, they might actually catch on and start becoming a football club again. I won't hold my breath.

I think we should wait and see which league we are playing in first.

If we stay up then i would think that ENIC will invest heavily, especially given the current situation, and i would think that De Zerbi has been given assurances before joining us.

Our managers always get assurances prior to accepting the job but we all know that proves a lie soon as they've signed on the dotted line.

25+ years of evidence.

Assurance from the Spurs board of spending sprees to come....

Been on my sick bed thinking about next season's squad.

Feel the below is absolutely achievable with ambition and De Zerbi influence.

GK - Trafford, Kinsky, Austin
RB - Porro, Spence
CB - Vuskovic, Van de Ven, Danso, Marcos Senesi
LB - Udogie, Andrew Robertson

DM - Pahlinha, Gray (loan out - Leeds?), Nico Gonzalez
CM - Bergvall (loan out - RB Liepzig?), Bentancur, Gallagher, Kulusevski

AM - Maddison, Xavi, Franco Mastantuono (2 year loan)

RW - Kudus, Odobert
LW - Marcus Rashford, Tel, Moore

ST - Richarlison, Lankshear

---------------Trafford---------------------
Porro--Vuskovic--Van de Ven--Udogie
----------------Gonzalez------------------
------Maddison------Mastantuono-----
Kudus---------------------------Rashford
--------------Richarlison------------------

Sub options:

Kinsky, Austin, Danso, Senesi, Robertson, Pahlinha, Bentancur, Gallagher, Kulusevski, Odobert, Moore, Lankshear, Tel

Kudus, Maddison and Mastantuno feeding Richarlison and Rashford via De Zerbi ball...Magnifique!

Also think De Zerbi can get Pedro Porro back to his old self.

Could be a fluid 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1, the way De Zerbi plays.

When Udogie inevitably gets injured, push VdV to LB and utilise Senesi.

Don't think Gray or his family will want him going in loan to Leeds, after being forced out of there for financial reasons.
Plus I think he's better off staying with us and learning a position.
