I know it’ll be hell seeing the gooners walk over them on the way to the title, but we really couldn’t have wished for West Ham to have stronger opponents.

As alluded to above, we have the fanbase and reach to be continually challenging the teams near the top, and absolutely should be ahead of the likes of Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, Everton et al. Much less the likes of Forest, Palace, Brighton and Brentford.
They’ve lost their minds over there, this weekend has got them all dribbling again. In what world should West Ham ever be ahead of Us, Villa or Everton - truly historic clubs with real achievements. They’ve never finished higher than 3rd in their entire history don’t forget, never played in Europes top competition, never even won a league cup.

West Ham stopped being a serious club when they moved to their new stadium. It's absolutely ridiculous.
They have twice shot themselves in the foot by bringing in Moyes, then turning their nose up at him

They get them comfortable if not near top 8, then decide they deserve better.

I think part of the strategy of Brighton, Brentford, and Bournemouth is baiting other clubs into paying a fortune for their upgradable performers at all levels
West ham are a big club in my view no doubt. And really from London its always been the scum, us, and them. Chelsea for all their post abramovich success have always been the 4th london team imo.
