Management Roberto De Zerbi

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Give me an idea. Why not start the first half with the intended subs (Gray, Bergvall, Bissoma) , low block, park the bus, and drag the match to half time. And at half time, put in Gallagher, Benta, Palhinha with fresh legs to do the press on tired defense.

Benta, Palhinha, and Gallagher get tired at the 60-minute mark it seems and this brings our performance down by almost 50%.

Start the young ones, tire them, then put the starters in the second half and have a go.

So play a weaker XI for the first 45 when the oppo are at their strongest and freshest?

Great plan. :ange-facepalm:

I think it's pretty obvious what De Zerbi's starting 11 is and that he believes this is a job for experienced players. I don't think he'd even be starting Tel if he had a more experienced option for that position.

Given a pre-season he'll do wonders with Gray/Bergs etc... but right now he - and Spurs - just can't risk their out of possession inexperience.

I think if De Zerbi could have one wish right now it would be that Bentancur could play a full 90 minutes. We lose control of any game the moment he's substituted. And it was like that for Frank early doors.

I have complete faith in this guy. He is literally a great (man) manager.
He says the right things.
He has complimented everybody. Especially some who will get sacked in the summer.

It's interesting his thread is much more "quiet" than any of the previous recent managers we've had. 205 pages during the most critical time in Spurs' modern history.

Maybe that's because he's doing relatively better than expected so he hasn't drawn the hate posting?

Anyway 1 point is all he needs to become an instant legend :D

We are playing way better under him. Long may it continue. Win at the bridge and he is worth every penny.

Only managed to watch the Leeds game yesterday.

And I have to repeat myself - have to give credit to de Zerbi.
Took over in very challenging time and we are 4 games unbeaten in a row - a feat we have managed once this year - from round 4-7!

What is as important is that first time after really long period I feel that in Brighton and Leeds games we would have also deserved to win! I couldn't say that in some fames under previous managers that we actually did win. Truly remarkable.

And now we play Chelsea in next round. Team that has 1 win since 10th of February. Gather a point and survival is guaranteed.

Pretty sure I am not the only one that has warmed up to RDZ!

If he picks Vicario he goes down in my estimation tonight. It'll be for no other reason other than we a speakady ze same langui. Kinsky has to start.

Yes, except the do wonders stuff. He will improve them yes. But they just aren't good enough to be strongest 11 for Spurs right now. Or in the foreseeable future.

You know when you see a rule so self evident - like "no guns in the airport" in America, and you think - clearly someone did that, for the rule to be in place.
yeh i know its silly , im just watching at the moment stupid/silly things that happens in germany and saw that ,
and as it seems everybody hates us anyway, we can maybe start to think of (outside the box stuff ) that makes everybody hates us even more :)
