Comparing this dud to Luis Suarez?

I just read the opposite yesterday, that he'd had a trainer brought in from Argentina to remain with the club. What's the truth? If it is true he has gone to watch a match in Argentina instead of staying for our last two matches, then he is a disgrace. The club is paying his wages and he is the captain FFS, it is literally the minimum requirement to be here.

I read all these stories but then saw this on We are Tottenham TV:Well, you'll be very glad to know it's not true. Or at least according to our manager:
You have had a group of injured players cheering the team on and we saw Cristian Romero running out and celebrating Tel’s goal…
Cristian Romero is a big player, you know he is a big player, but he is an amazing guy because he has been a great captain in my time even though he didn’t play. We are talking by phone and when he stay here, every morning he came in my office and he was inside of the season.

I thought it must just be an old photo or ai but then I did a little digging myself and saw this:

I was careful in saying "if true" as I don't know if this account is genuine but it seems at odds with what I heard yesterday. However, didn't they just qualify for the final?

No, his team qualified yesterday for some final, the posts listed say that he is going to the final on Sunday. So my point was maybe he changed his mind about staying. Anyway, doesn't really matter.Fair enough. I suppose it's possible he went there after the Leeds game and is back now?
That's what arseholes doIf it is true he has gone to watch a match in Argentina instead of staying for our last two matches, then he is a disgrace. The club is paying his wages and he is the captain FFS, it is literally the minimum requirement to be here.
Wherever and whatever Romero os doing is an irrelevance.
He has shown his true colours on numerous occasions. They are as visible as it is grey and chilly for the umpteenth time this so-called spring day
Posters should need no more evidence, and just like the club on players who have been with us for a while, it becomes relatively clear where their bar is, who coped in adversity (and who doesn't), and worse those who deflect.
Romero deflects. It's never my fault guv. That's what the bloke is but because he does the odd food thing. Because he flies into the odd tackle or three. Because he scores the odd goal. Because he slagged off the board, the Magoos and anti,Levy/now ENIC brigade whoop with delirium.
He can fcuk off, wherever he is.
Don't cry for me blah blah blah.

YES FUKING PLEASE. I told you guys when I was at the club. I got the vibe most employees treated it like it was a big bank or finance house. Get in a few commited ex pros with real I input.Toby goes into it quite a lot why we can not rely on him. One to listen to on centre backs. Not the first ex player either to say get rid of Romero. Brad Freidel did too fairly recently.
Sorry, but that’s disrespecting Lamela.
I'd have bitten your hand off to have Lamela in the squad this season.Sorry, but that’s disrespecting Lamela.
Lamela always gave his all for the badge and it was very apparent he really loved the club, not something you can say about Romero.
Lamela’s issue was his lack of availability due to his fragility. I’ve never questioned his commitment in the way we have Romchops.
I’ve have Erik in the team over the faux hard man every day of the week!
Yep me too!I'd have bitten your hand off to have Lamela in the squad this season.
Talented player with an elite mentality and a crafty ability to shithouse, sadly let down by his body too often but when he was playing, it was nothing less than 100%.
I'd go as far as to say that he's one of my favourite players of recent times, purely due to his passion and obviously the Wiltshire incident too - among other stellar examples of shithousery.Yep me too!
We could have done with his guile and commitment.
He wouldn’t have been shirking or hiding like some others!

I'm very glad you shared this point of view with us for only the 17, 642nd time since the start of the new year.
If it's worth saying once it's definitely worth saying it for a 17, 643rd time so feel free to reiterate at your leisure![]()
