Match **** Tottenham Hotspur v Everton 4pm Sunday 24th Of May ****

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don’t think our players deserve anything this weekend. The fact we’re in a final day relegation cliffhanger is an absolute disgrace. They’ve shown no quality and no commitment all season. They can fuck off. They’re not heroes. They’re wage thieving incompetent weaklings. They need to welcome us with nothing less than a huge performance. And then fuck off for the summer, many hopefully never to be seen again. Worst team of my life in every respect.

OK, I'll bite.

Here are the teams with the lowest consistency of starting 11 - i.e. How many times did the team player start the same core players.

Wolves
West Ham
Tottenham (lowest)
Forest

Do you notice the pattern? And you'll never guess which team had the most consistent starting squad (Clue, they are in north London).

Tottenham are having to field a different team almost every week due to injury and changes in coaches/tactics.

Spurs BEST 11 (i.e. if everyone was fit) hasn't played a single game in 2 seasons.

Also worth noting West Ham's lack of consistency is more down to differing managers, tactical meddling and buys/sales in Jan. They've barely had any injuries at all compared to us.

You could argue bringing him on will give the crowd a lift as well.

Of course there's 0 garantee we will score if he starts as well, much better off letting him come off the bench and control the game against tired legs like he did against Chelsea.

Much better chance we'll score with him on the pitch.

I know what I'd do but each to their own.

That applies to lots of teams - Man City, Chelsea , Forest change their teams far more than us. Most teams most weeks don’t play their best 11.

Yes we’ve been hit by injuries , but a lot of these have accumulated , they didn’t happen over night, and the club didn’t do what it had to do to bring in replacements. We’ve even brought in players who have terrible injury records before they arrived

In truth I have no idea what are best 11 is, because we don’t really have one. The players are not good enough, Even without the injuries and playing with confidence we wouldn’t be any better than mid table . Let’s not pretend the players with injuries are amazing - they aren’t.

We are where we deserve to be in the league. There’s a chance we can scrape through next week , but nobody is that confident about it because if this team had the quality to do so , they’d have dug themselves out of the hole long before now.

If we were having a conversation about a misfortunate missing out on Europe despite plenty of great effort from the squad, then I’d be inclined to agree. But we’re talking about the very bottom of the league. Our results and performances have not been in any way acceptable.

We’ve had perfectly adequate matchday squads to pick up far more points than we have. Look at our line ups for the 3-0 defeats to Forest home and away, Sunderland home and away, Fulham home and away, Palace at home, Spam at home, frankly any shit result. Give them a lap of honour if you want to but for me the players have been an utter disgrace. Can’t get rid of them and this season quickly enough.

So this is a hypothetical:
Let's assume we get a result that means we stay up, What's the reaction in the stadium at the end of the game? Will it be title winning celebrations? Mild applause? Collective meh? Or thank fuck that's done with, let's go home.

Much as the supporters both home and away have been (mostly) excellent, I can't see the reaction being anything more than mildly polite British applause.

What does everyone think?

On a personal level, I won't be celebrating per session. I'll be glad we weren't relegated but mostly I'll be thinking thank fuck that season is over and I hope this truly scared the shit out of the higher ups and their complacency and hope that the players take a good long look at their truly abysmal performances.

I agree with the adequacy of the squad: we have enough average/moderately decent players to at least make it difficult for the opposition; however, we've been very passive for at least one half of most games.

Should be/hoping initial mild cheers followed by constant chanting of enic out/vinai/lange out chants. We need to send a message us fans won’t put up with this shit no longer
