Match **** Tottenham Hotspur v Everton 4pm Sunday 24th Of May ****

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don't we watch Sport for those edge of the seat, anxious moments? Wouldn't it be boring if Spurs just won comfortably 3-0 every week.

Me if Spurs won 3-0 every week

And that fucking kid striker of theirs is going to do his stupid Tarzan dance when he scores the winner just to rub it in

If he does, I will teach him a lesson he'll never forget. I will make him spend one hour in the company of justin justin

Don't we watch Sport for those edge of the seat, anxious moments? Wouldn't it be boring if Spurs just won comfortably 3-0 every week. How many of you would still be watching the games if we were sat mid table, playing for nothing?

Interestingly, the year Liverpool won the title for the first time in forever in dominating fashion; my mate, a lifelong liverpool fan stopped watching as it was boring knowing they would win every game! No excitement. No rush. No adrenaline. He described it as watching a reply when you already know the result.
What?

According to your scenario, Spurs are 1-0 down and WH are winning and you find that EXCITING!!!!

Weirdo. Or, as others have long suggested - you're not a Spurs fan.

Fuck off. Offer me spurs winning 3-0 every week for the rest of my life and I would fucking take it.

I keep reminding myself that only one of 9 possible score outcomes in the two games relegates us.
I don't know why that brings comfort in this dismal season. But, it does.
And I'm going for a low-scoring win for us in this one.
That is exactly what I do.

Spurs win / WH win - Spurs stay up
Spurs win / WH draw - Spurs stay up
Spurs win / WH lose - Spurs stay up
Spurs draw / WH win - Spurs stay up
Spurs draw / WH draw - Spurs stay up
Spurs draw / WH lose - Spurs stay up
Spurs lose / WH win - WH stay up

Spurs lose / WH lose - Spurs stay up

Only one of those nine are not in our favour. Would be tempted to offer Leeds 20m for a youth player they are about to release and offer Everton Richy on a free.

I'm just imagining this going into the last 20 minutes with West Ham just having scored to go one up and us at nil nil, sitting deeper and deeper as the Everton free kicks, corners and chances start to mount.

There is no chance we hold on in that scenario. We have to come out all guns blazing and get a two or three nil lead.

Unfortunately this Everton team are no mugs.

We can put our faith in Leeds but that's an embarrassing way to stay up...

So this is a hypothetical:
Let's assume we get a result that means we stay up, What's the reaction in the stadium at the end of the game? Will it be title winning celebrations? Mild applause? Collective meh? Or thank fuck that's done with, let's go home.

Much as the supporters both home and away have been (mostly) excellent, I can't see the reaction being anything more than mildly polite British applause.

What does everyone think?

On a personal level, I won't be celebrating per session. I'll be glad we weren't relegated but mostly I'll be thinking thank fuck that season is over and I hope this truly scared the shit out of the higher ups and their complacency and hope that the players take a good long look at their truly abysmal performances.
Depends on how we stay up. Coming back from one nil down to win it in the 90th minute it will be bedlam.

0-0 and hanging on by our finger nails. Relief but certainly not outright joy.
