Match **** Tottenham Hotspur v Everton 4pm Sunday 24th Of May ****

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not concerned about Everton or our own performance. I am concerned however what shenanigans the pgmol are going to get up to.

Has the charade gone on long enough or are they still going to mold things the way they want

Don't we watch Sport for those edge of the seat, anxious moments? Wouldn't it be boring if Spurs just won comfortably 3-0 every week. How many of you would still be watching the games if we were sat mid table, playing for nothing?

Interestingly, the year Liverpool won the title for the first time in forever in dominating fashion; my mate, a lifelong liverpool fan stopped watching as it was boring knowing they would win every game! No excitement. No rush. No adrenaline. He described it as watching a reply when you already know the result.
...then your mate ain't really a fan.....🤷‍♂️

What?

According to your scenario, Spurs are 1-0 down and WH are winning and you find that EXCITING!!!!

Weirdo. Or, as others have long suggested - you're not a Spurs fan.
Yes.

That would be very exciting.

The most memorable and best feelings in recent times for me.

Bale Hatrick against Milan. We lost the game, but those goals made it feel like a win.

Lucus late hat trick vs Ajax. They dominated and ran Spurs ragged for much of the game.

Nobody will care and talk again about a 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend. Done and dusted at half time, and park the bus in the 2nd.

Now….. if spurs nick a 95th minute equaliser to secure Premier League football next season….we will be talking about the game for years to come.

Fuck off. Offer me spurs winning 3-0 every week for the rest of my life and I would fucking take it.
Really?

You don’t play for Spurs. You don’t win anything.

We are fans. Here to be entertained. To get the blood boiling. The adrenaline pumping.

Think of Movies…..to be entertained, we need to believe the hero might lose. We need to see him fight adversary, against the odds. Would anyone have enjoyed Rocky movies if he won each fight by first round knockout?

The excitement comes from overcoming the odds. If you approach expecting to win….the only emotion you have possible have is neutral (we won) or disappointment.

Personally, I prefer to watch a game where spurs are fighting till the final dying seconds than being 3-0
Up at half time and then controlling the game. YAWN!!

The players get $$$ and medals. The club gets $$$$$$. As a fan, my reward is entertainment. That’s it.

You're trying to change horses in midstream, but it doesn't work. Splosh.

You were excited about us being behind and being about to get relegated - weird, as I've already said.

Now you're excited about us scoring and turning things around. Two completely different scenarios mate - and your new scenario is not the one we've been discussing up until now. Splosh.

Face it, you're a complete mental mess - and soaking wet too. Splosh. I'd stick to the Ange thread if I were you.

You’re not a spurs fan though. You’re an Ange fan.

Why the fuck are you still here

It's probably in Moyes interest for West Ham to get relegated. It would give him leverage in contract negotiations as he can point to West Ham to the Everton board as an example of what can happen if they get rid of him.

In that case I can see him setting up for a draw which should help us if they aren't playing with much intensity.

No mate - I've read your posts. You're not a fan, you're a fanboi. There is a difference.

Moyes? Setting a team up for a draw? Moyes?

You know, you could be right.

No.

And no offence, you clearly claim yourself to be a Spurs fan and that's fine, but that means different things to different people, and I think that perhaps your notion of it differs greatly to the general one.

I watch Spurs because I have an emotional investment in the club, I watch the games wanting a Spurs win, and hoping for the best for my club. If that's a win in a game that isn't overly exciting then so be it, if I watch a great game of football and we lose then I'm disappointed, the entertainment observed is no consolation really.

I don't look at my son and hope he has a really hard life in order to keep it exciting, similarly I don't watch Spurs hoping for it to be an ordeal in the name of excitement.

:mourwhat:
Hmmm, would certainly be a strategy...

I imagine Everton could quite easily make the counterpoint that Man Utd sacked Moyes and haven't as yet been relegated, on top of the fact that neither Wolves or Burnley have ever been managed by David Moyes and are relegated.
