Spam's relegation club statement:
The confirmation of our relegation from the Premier League today marks a sad and painful moment for West Ham United.

The Club wishes to sincerely thank every single one of our supporters for the constant and loyal backing they have given, throughout what has been an extremely difficult and disappointing season.

Ultimately, we have not repaid that support. The plain truth is that we have not been good enough. We must now face the consequences of that failure with honesty, transparency and a determination to repair, refocus and rebuild.

West Ham United is a football club whose unique identity is defined not by success or failure on the pitch, but by the values and traditions of our roots in east London, and by the spirit of the people who have Claret and Blue in their hearts. The Club acknowledges how challenging this season has been for them and knows it must take steps to restore a sense of pride, faith and belief.

As we have done before, we will fight with everything we have to return to the top division of English football at the first time of asking. The hard work to make that goal a reality begins immediately.

Not proper ammers territory but everyone you meet is either west ham, us, or the scum.

The scum massively outweigh everyone all of a sudden. Funny that. But its posh oscar cunts who clearly don't follow football. Suddenly they're all wearing their scum shirt.



I'll never like west ham because they hate us. But I relate to them far more than the scum because they are actually like us.

Still happy to see them go down though. I've had to fight red faced grown men off me cos I had a Spurs scarf on and they were west ham
So fuck them. But I do understand them more than Woolwich

So, joking aside today, I'll never mock fans that get relegated (with the exception of Chelsea and Scum, of course).

It's brutal. This season has been draining. I know they're dickheads, but it's just a rivalry.

For better or worse, a generation of Spurs fans have been exposed to what a genuine low can feel like.

Respect to fans of teams that are regularly having such god awful seasons in the Premier League. I have to confess I completely lost interest in the season after our umpteenth hammering. Bit ashamed of myself really.

I didn't appreciate what it felt like at all. A Southampton supporting mate of mine had an interesting take, for him and fans of clubs that are used to relegation, they know the risks. Relegation happens and it's something they're prepared for, it's happened recently, it'll like happen again and while it hurts, it's manageable.

But with us, fans know that we shouldn't be anywhere near relegation. We're a massive club in terms of revenue and fans were totally unprepared for it. When smaller clubs get relegated the general take is "classic Burnley", whereas with us, everything with a pulse was frothing at the mouth, beaming at the thought of us going down and took immense pleasure in watching us suffer.

Fucking horrible few months and I hope never to go through this shit again.
