Player Djed Spence

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gotta be honest, I came here to criticise him but for today. Thought he was poor tbh.

However, I do love this story. Fair play to him. I'll hold my tongue.
He played in an unfamiliar position, not helped by those around him, especially Richarlison and Tel, who were once again atrocious.

But he never stopped fighting. Not scared of giving it to the refs too.

He sure ain't a starter in my books next season, but I got zero issues with him being one of our 4 FB options.

KEEP IT UP M8

Going back to the Chelsea game.... the foul by Delap was good enough for a yellow, but not a (obvious) red
I know the refs not a doctor - but everyone saw it.........

and it broke his jaw

how bad does a foul have to be, against us?

Id keep him as a rotation option, but he seems to have a serious ego which wouldnt allow him to be a backup player. So hopefully someone gives us £20M for him after a few sub apps at the WC, then we put that towards a hungry (preferably English) EFL full back to come in and provide competition

He's effectively been a back-up player all season (and the one before that)!

Let's just see what RDZ can do with him.

Again; face up to the fact that we are NOT going to sign 2 x players in most positions this summer.

C'mon this guy is not anywhere near world class! I'll be shocked if he plays anything but as an injury back up.
Given he's got livramento and James ahead of him. There's a very high chance he'll be playing because the other 2 are crocked.

Also 1v1 defending against Doue, Vini Jnr or other type of tricky winger, do you trust livramento to handle them? James could but Spence can be argued to be the better 1v1 defender. I think that's what tuchel has in mind.

I think Porro & Spence are fine as the RB options. The bigger problems are elsewhere in the team.
One is (usually) very poor defensively and his offensive game ain't that much to write home about either. The other is solid at the back but makes no difference in the opposition's box. We absolutely need a guy who is effective on both sides of the rock.

Ditto at LB...that big word salad from Pete Chaz and we're looking at Udogie & Robertson?! Souza will go out on loan and Ben will act as LCB cover.

Nowhere near good enough after two P17.

LB is a much bigger issue. Udogie I’ve given up on, injury prone and makes awful decisions on the ball constantly.

Going for Robertson over Diouf sums up this club.

However, Van de Ven can play out there well and the Senesi signing makes it possible.

Souza needs a loan.

Italian or not, Udogie should be one of the first out the door. He's awful. But De Zerbi is defo keeping him and that'll come back to bite him in the ass soon enough.

One is free, the others cost money. We are so very poor, you see...don't wanna do a Leeds.

Yeah I guess that's the positive.

100%. Hopefully we don't give him the Donley to Stoke or Yang to Coventry treatment.
