Leadership is overrated. You could get 10 guys from the pub who would literally fight and die for the club, doesn’t mean the will be of any use. You need leaders but only if they can also play football and are physically able to play at the level needed. Hence why the best players like Rice cost an arm and a leg and hence why they decline when they get into their 30’s.
There is always a balance. This is just being facetious.

I don’t agree. I’m pretty sure Solanke will get a year to show what he can do. I think Muani and Richy will go. Parrott seems a natural inclusion but with Maddison, Gallagher and a returning Xavi I think you are kidding yourself he would get a look in at 10.

This is why I think people are going to be disappointed this summer as we will need to cut the squad and add the right players. There won’t be 2 new strikers as we wont have the guaranteed game time for them

Xavi is not in discussion until Jan.If he comes back then, I would rather loan him.

Nobody knows that the idiotic managment will do but here & now we only discussing what we want to happen at the club.

With setpieces the top scorer in PL, and then Richarlison next, lets just say we need a complete reset in top of the field

Yeah but we aren’t playing football manager. You don’t loan players like Xavi out. Just like Bergvall and Gray are going out on loan.

You can’t have a bunch of old players who are losing their physicality no matter how good or leader like they are making your team. Why do you think Liverpool are getting rid of Salah and Robertson, these are leaders but they can’t do it to the level Liverpool need because they have got older. You can’t fight biology.

Players like Kane and Scholes can get away with it more due to not being pace reliant. Robertson and Salah are. Robertson hasn’t declined to the degree of Salah but at best we will only have 1-2 years from him and at worse he won’t be very useful.

With the expected outgoings I think we'll need to see 5/6 new faces at a bare minimum. I'm also very glad that RDZ has mentioned needing at least two first team players for each position, despite us not having european football next year.

If you take out the players we know won't be available for the start of the season, i'm hoping to see something like this:

GK: Kinsky / Ortega

RB: Porro / Spence
RCB: Vuskovic / Danso
LCB: Van De Ven / Senesi
LB: Robertson / Udogie

CDM: Locatelli / Gray
CM: Bentancur / Bergvall
CAM: Maddison / Gallagher

RW: Kudus / Kulu (?)
ST: Schick / Solanke
LW: Marmoush / Tel

..I'm so glad we're not having to build a squad for the championship

Maddison took a year to get out of ACL and is still feeling his way in.

So saying Xavi shouldnt be in our plans is not playing football manager.

If you seriously think Xavi will be a serious squad or XI player, you need to rethink

Richarlison absolutely has to be sold.

He's a good guy and gives his all but Everton was his level.

He's so slow though it's actually painful watching him. Any through ball he receives even with a 5/10 yard head start he still gets done for pace ..extraordinary really.

I'd actually say Vicario and Richarlison are the two at the very front of the que to go.

I think its important that we sign quality over quantity. We only have one game a week next season and we've a completely bloatd squad. However, until we get a grip of our injury crisis (3 years running where we've had 10 players out for majority of the season), we can't afford to let them squad trim too much. So I think a player in for a player out is a sensible approacvh as long as we see some significant upgrades.

Out
Vicario
Romero
Dragusin
Davies
Bissouma
Richarlison
Muani (terminate loan)

In
Trafford (40m-50m)
Senesi (Free)
Vuskovic (stop loaning him)
Robertson (Free)
Scott (50m)
Ndiaye (50m)
Kroupi (50m)

I'd love Gordan over Ndiaye but I don't think he'd join us. apparently Bayern and Woolwich are in for him. But I think a windo like this would be good. I'd also be open to selling bentancur if we feel Gray/Bergvall or Sarr can step up next season.

Remember reading last pre season Kulusevski would be back by November. We have to plan without thinking about Simons or Odobert and Kulusevski again. If they play a part its a bonus.

Paying Trafford 40m is just not sensible.
I would rather pay 20-30m to Liverpool to get Mamardashvili or get a very good GK from Ligue 1 or Bundesliga.
Pretty sure, those GK would be more strong than Trafford ever will be

Rule of thumb - If a forward is struggling to score 15 goals in Serie A in its current state, they are gonna completely flame out in this current version of the Premier League.
To his defense, he's only played 19 matches this season due to injuries (only 11 from start) and has managed to score 7 goals.

However, I do get your point. But if we're not going to spend any money, then Vlahovic is a free option.

The backline on paper should be ok although not sure about Robertson. At least we can park that as it’s the attack and midfield we need to work on.

GK
Kinsky
New number 2

RB
Porro
Spence

RCB
Vuskovic
Danso

LCB
VDV
Senesi

LB
Udogie
Robertson
I rate Kinsky but still think we need a number 1 and not go out there looking for a number 2.

I'm fine with the rest but probably need 1 more defensive option. Need 9 players imo.

3 x Goalkeepers
9 x Defenders
5 x CM
8 x wide mid/forwards

We need to sign a top keeper or else back Kinsky to become our number one. I really don't like the idea of gambling on another foreign goalkeeper. Either sign a prem proven or back Kinsky! Trafford is the one I like. Looks a class act for City. 2 clean sheets in 2 finals this year.

Odobert was really starting to come into his own when he got that injury. I do think their is a player there, his technically skills and speed are top draw, needs to find the clinical edge.
Very best of Odobert was still low than lows of Sonny.

Odobert is a decent squad player but he will never hit the heights of being a top3 or 4 wingers in PL.

We got to do better than him. This is one position I want us pay the big money to attract a class player
