I think a big club will be down there again in the next year or two although not Liverpool, could well be Everton again or Newcastle. As diabolical as we've been we only finished 8 pts behind both and feel we have a bit of momentum which they dont. I think the levelling off in standards in the prem is going to leave some of the bigger teams vunerable if they have poor seasons and the 3 that come up arent hopeless.

Chelsea are well on that trajectory - granted Alonso may be good enough to snap them out of it

I think it'd be Chelsea if anyone. Don't have much money and are looking to sell their best players apparently. And they lost something like 5 games in a row towards the end of the season.

They are FUCKED.

tl;dr version.

- 2 owners at 40% each.
- 100m owing in amortisation costs
- 100m deficit in last set of accounts. Relevant for EFL cost control measures.
- 225m revenue 24-25 likely to be a little down this season. But should decrease by 90-100m in the championship. And that's with the parachute payments propping them up.
- Clearing most of the squad and get say 180m you'd get 1/3 of it this next season which doesn't offset the losses.

They won’t come straight back up either. Two seasons minimum down there and the shit will be compounded year on year. Amusing.

There are times I despair with ENIC but the Hammers are luckily always around to remind us: it could always be worse.

The cutaways to her towering over the decaying corpse of David Sullivan up in the owners box were beyond belief on Sunday.

I really do feel bad for the West Ham fans who would happily accept their fate if only they could get Upton Park and their identity back, but the club sold their soul for nothing.
