If we want a winger from spammers it's Bowen we should be after, not Summerville. Rarely less than 7/10 performances, goals and assists and plays lots of games, and he is the finished article. Likely wants to stay in London and too good for championship. Genuine competition for Kudus and good enough to play other side as well at a push. He also works like a dog and would need to to help Porro out.

Solanke isn't a bad striker.

I honestly think he could score 15-20 goals under De Zerbi in a full season.

As for Summerville, I really like him.

He likes running at players and stretches the field.

I cannot believe I’m agreeing with you that Nico Jackson is the best we can do at striker. My lord

It’s not even a reflection on us as a club m. The striker market is absolutely fucked. Don’t know what’s happening in academies, but there’s a massive shortage of top strikers in world football now. You’ve got the top tier of Kane, Haaland, Lisandro Martinez and maybe Osimhen, and the next tier of strikers are miles off it.

That’s why you’ve got teams like ourselves, United, Woolwich, Liverpool & Chelsea paying fortunes for boys like Solanke, Richarlison, Sesko, Gyokeres, Nunez & Delap. Big money punts hoping that they come good. £70-80m. That money used to guarantee you a top striker. These boys are struggling to get more than 10 goals a season, at £70m… it’s pathetic.

Jackson doesn’t get my dick hard either, but he does have qualities that De Zerbi likes in No. 9’s.

Given all that why not a punt on Troy Parrott?
