Player of the season for me.
His open letter felt like a farewell, but maybe he's covering both bases.
Personally, I think we have a 1st team of squad players....
Players like Paulinha, Kinsky, Gray, Sarr, Danso, Bergwall, Spence, Tel, Solanke are all fine, but whether because of age/lack of experience, or limits to their ability, are ideal as back-up, and only if you have better quality to START games!
Bentancur, Gallagher, Porro & Kudus arguably fit into either category.. decent 1st team options, but definitely add quality to the squad.
I'd argue only really VDV, Maddison, & Kulu (if he ever sets foot on a pitch again) are our 3 genuine 1st team quality players... Romero would count, but he's probably off in the Summer...
Richy, Muani and Bissouma are just not up to par, and should be as good as gone too... imho.
If any 8/9 of our starting XI from Sunday are on the bench, you'd say what a strong bench, and we have strength in depth...
But to actually achieve that, you need a better quality 1st XI to start with!!

I don’t agree with Kinsky on that list. He has more than proved himself.
He has only played a handful of games while i like what i have seen from him since he came back in the jury is still out on him.
I mean more than he's an absolutely IDEAL squad GK (rather than let's say Brandon Austin or The lovely Alfie Whitman... great DJ, not great GK!)
We need TWO first team quality players in EVERY position...
Kinsky provides that. I'm more than happy if he plays from the start, or comes in when needed... he can be trusted.
but if we get someone else in of equal - or higher - quality, then even better! That's the POINT of squad depth.
A modern manager tends to rotate the GK tactically now. Wasn't it RdZ that did that with Sanchez and Steele, depending on whether he was going to play from the back or not

Yes Kinsky pulled off some great saves/performances. Need to be getting in a proper no.1 when Vic goes though.
We should be a club competing at the top end of the table. Despite their heroics, we aren’t going to do that having Kinsky, Kev etc as first choice players. As squad players it’s ok.
Luckily RDZ knows what he’s doing and I think there will hopefully be massive change in the summer.

Try to make good player stay beyond loan, offer good money to club, offer good wages to player...good player maybe/probably stay.

The fact is he's a good player and was important to our survival last year. If we had anything about us at all we would go big to keep him. If he then leaves to go back to Portugal. Fine. At least we tried. I can live with that.
