Senesi instantly becomes our best CB. so no chance he starts on the bench.
I at least understand not being familiar with players in leagues you don't watch, but not knowing Senesi was one of the best CBs in the prem this year is wild.Cannot see why people are happy with this. 29 year old with only 3 caps and not in Argentina WC squad. Whilst at the same time happy to let go Romero, younger, more caps & much better player.
Oh, you can never tell on here.
It's a moot point really don't you think? You're comparing Romero to Sensei when they play in different positions. If the comparison is to be made, it would be Senesi and VDV.Its a high ceiling vs high floor comparison. Romero on his day is twice the player Senesi will ever be. Romero on a bad day is twice as bad as Senesi on a bad day.
Romero is good enough to play in a title winning team (we saw his performance levels in our Europa league run). Senesi is not good enough to play for a title winning team. However, Romero is rash and unreliable so has the potential to be part of a team that gets relegated. Senesi is too good and consistent to ever be part of a team that gets relegated.
After finishing 17th two seasons in a row and nearly going down, I think we can all agree that we'd prefer the consistent and reliable Senesi. Someone who should be available to play nearly all 38 league games, avoid getting sent off and just be a reliable presence at the back.
But lets not pretend he's a better player than Romero, he's not.
Danso will be our starting CB with VDV I reckon with Senesi used heavily in rotation. Or vice versa. Romero is a massive liability and he’s not captain material. There’s more to football then their skills with the ball and I think his time has past at Spurs. I also think Danso is a better defender

Everyone on Twitter losing their mind over Antonio Vergara.
A 23 year old that’s played 80 games, mostly off the bench . . . doesn’t exactly inspire me! Unless he’s back up for Kudus of course. But how many back ups are we gonna sign for a first 11 that isn’t good enough in itself?!![]()
How do you know he'll be a backup? A lot of people thought Dele Alli would be a backup. Not knowing a player =/= them not being any good.
If this is the player RDZ has asked for then let's trust his judgment for now. I'd certainly prefer him to pick the transfers rather than Lange.
Well like I said, if this is RDZ's pick then we have to trust him for now.
We should know by now not to judge players before they actually take to the grass for us. We can't celebrate RDZ being given major input into football strategy then immediately criticise his signings before they've kicked a ball. Either you trust him or you don't.
If its even true he'd almost certainly be rotation for Maddison or Kudus, which we need anyway.Everyone on Twitter losing their mind over Antonio Vergara.
