This thread is turning into peak TFC but I’m just happy to be here tbh.

If we lost against Everton we’d have people genuinely talking about brining Harry Winks back to the club.

Sadly using the ante does not involve paying somebody £3-4 hundred thousand a year. Would love him though.
That's where the signing on fee comes in, then pay him say £250K/week to be in line with the highest earners.

Ekitike went for £90M. If the €70 touted is accurate, we could top that up with a £20M signing on bonus and he'd still be cheaper than Ekitike or Isak. For a better striker?

It's how I'd approach him anyway. Massive exposure to the World playing in the World's biggest league (which he only currently gets via CL), earning silly money, living in London and playing for RDZ with ambitions to challenge for the title (which we would have if we're serious about getting a player of his calibre).

I could see him being seriously tempted.

It's rubbish, as most of these rumours are.

By most accounts Forest are about to sell Anderson for a sizeable sum.

Unless they are strapped and even if Gibbs-White puts in a transfer request, they are unlikely to sanction any move that effectively rips up their central midfield.

Time to chill after the last few months but I think reassured that we will be adding quality and depth to the squad, but Gibbs-White - no.

Depends what was in the contract he signed last summer. But yeah, wouldn’t hold my breath. The interesting part is that his goal scoring really started exploding when he moved from central to playing from the left.

Really good news. We desperately need a new striker. Now let's hope it's someone quality.

A perfect concoction of neediness, striker scarcity, and money to blow, continuing our even-year striker pattern. This previously led to vastly overpaying for Richy in 2022, then Solanke in 2024, spending £120m on a crocked striker rotation that was bottom 5 in the PL last season.

Let’s hope we can do better in 2026…
