They are the opinions of highly unqualified people (like myself) and 9 times out of 10 heavily biased either against or for the subject, therefore such pronouncements require the accompaniment of huge pinches ofHope he ends up wherever he wants to be. Happy for him to stay another season, but equally if he's ready to head home wouldn't begrudge him.
Posters acting like he's not good enough for us are talking absolute toss. He's been our best midfielder and probably player of the season, there are so many other players in the squad that should be shipped out first.
Add that to the fact that some of us still don't seem to realise that we're a team that's finished 17th twice in a row. Most players in the league are good enough for us at the moment.
Would you rim Marinakis if it meant he would let MGW come to Spurs?
A week I should have typed.That's where the signing on fee comes in, then pay him say £250K/week to be in line with the highest earners.
Ekitike went for £90M. If the €70 touted is accurate, we could top that up with a £20M signing on bonus and he'd still be cheaper than Ekitike or Isak. For a better striker?
It's how I'd approach him anyway. Massive exposure to the World playing in the World's biggest league (which he only currently gets via CL), earning silly money, living in London and playing for RDZ with ambitions to challenge for the title (which we would have if we're serious about getting a player of his calibre).
I could see him being seriously tempted.
It sounds like something Marinakis could request on top of the 80m feeWould you rim Marinakis if it meant he would let MGW come to Spurs?

Evidence of just how ruthless RDZ is. Palhinha does not suit his system and the front foot football he will want us to play next season. But he knew he needed warriors and duel winners the last few weeks to battle against relegation so he correctly kept Palhinha on side by giving the impression that he was an important player going forward.Sporting seem to have an agreement in place for Paulinha.
Looks like he could be off.
Yeah, understandable. I was on the side of keep him. But if RDZ is letting him go, then I have to hope he has better plans in place.Evidence of just how ruthless RDZ is. But its the right decision. Palhinha will always have my respect and he was rightly a fan's favourite and a cult hero during this relegation battle. But if we are serious about backing RDZ, then we need to prioritise a ball playing CM.

Based on that data alone for sure.
There could be a number of bits of missing context to explain why Vergara’s data has been so poor, though.
Can’t base a view on a player only on data…
For me, I’m 100% choosing Akliouche because I’ve seen him dominate us and look like a legit world class talent. I’ve never seen Vergara play a game
Squad is a bit of a mess so I'll probably lose track of who's out on loan or injured etc, but I'd be looking to pad out the squad with some of the talent and experience that's out of contract this summer
Bissouma and RKM are leaving (and hopefully not being retained)
I'd probably sell: Dragusin, Vicario, Romero, Udogie, Tel, one/both of Richarlison/Solanke, one/both of Sarr or Bentancur, Soloman, Scarlett, Veliz,
You'd half expect we'd get over £150m from that clearout
My 'out of contract' replacements:
Vicario -> Sommer
Romero -> Senesi/Konate/Stones (all ooC) OR christensen, who is HG
Udogie -> Andy Robertson
Tel -> Harry Wilson
You'd think we could muster up at least £150m for those, with Romero being a reasonable chunk. We could then reasonably expect to make 2 bigs buys for a CM (whether that be a Hackney or a Scott) and a stand-out talent up front and still satisfy a £0 net spent for the penny pinchers at board level (contacts aside)
I'd like to keep Palhinha but depends on cost etc
GK: Kinsky / Sommer / Austin or Gunter
LB: Robertson / Sousa^
RB: Porro / Spence*
CB: Vuskovic^ / Danso* / VDV / Davies* / Phillips^
CM: Bergvall / Gallagher / Gray / Maddison / Someone Special / possibly Palhinha
these are probably interchangeable but just for example
LW: Moore / Simons / Odobert
RW: Kulusevski / Kudus / Wilson
CF: new signing (someone top quality). possibly a free Dybala/Vlahovic as rotation, blood in Lankshear, Melia
Loan out: Min Hyeok, Takai etc
We could of course keep richi for his versatility and heaven forbid get someone like Vlahovic/Dybala for free to give some options and yet not completely rule out mins for Lankshear etc. Anyone who might think the younger players aren't ready should look at the mins we wasted on RKM and wonder if they could really be that bad.
Note: I still think we could do worse than pay Lewandowski a fuck ton for a season or two, even at 37, for what we'd get for Solanke

Really good news. We desperately need a new striker. Now let's hope it's someone quality.
