Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The state of some posts, questioning if Vuskovic is ahead of Van Hecke fucking hell. Young lad who’s had a good season in Bundesliga. He will be a world class CB but needs to be on loan next season if he isn’t in our first choice CB pairing with our lack of games.

This place at times, 2 years of Bergval being god on here when the lad in reality has actually done little and needs a loan playing 90 mins every week. RDZ will do the right thing and hopefully transition our midfield from 17th to competent (at least).

Most of the talk is about CB’s that is probably our strongest area. We are more desperate for new forwards and a new No 1 GK. yet nothing seems to be happening. ENIC have promised us they will be investing and yet we are getting 2 Freebies. I thought Levy had left the building yet nothing has changed.

The summer TW hasn’t officially opened yet though.

Getting in experienced PL players for free helps us spread the transfer funds for better players in other parts of the pitch.

Vuscovic will be a good replacement for Romero. Davies & Drag have hardly played so they wouldn’t be missed that much.

We still need to offload other players.

Tbf no-one knows how Vuskovic would do in the PL, but he got into the team of the season as an 18 year old in Bundesliga, scoring 6 goals along the way and being heavily linked to Bayern Munich.

VdV who was a few years older never got near to the team of the season over there and he slotted straight into PL football. Most would've said he was better than Van Hecke after his debut season although I think that's far more debatable now.

I mean you could absolutely be proven right and maybe Vuskovic isn't ready and will go on loan, but I don't think it's a crazy take to say he might well be top class and could slot in next season. I can't remember there being a more hyped young CB in a long time.

You do realise that’s a key tactic of De Zerbi’s? In makes teams that don’t want to press to engage in order to create space to move forward. In the 7 games, we saw VdV do this a lot.
In general though funny that people think that if a cb passes quickly the opposition are all unorganised spinning around like headless chickens. Unless it’s end to end last few minutes teams are set when a CB is on the ball.

Another reason why this whole progressive passer parroting thing is a bit of a of nonsense. What we need or any good team when youre encouraging pressure onto you is defenders and midfielders in particular that can retain the ball under pressure, get on the other side of the man, draw opponents out from defensive positions. Not a sitting midfielder pinging ‘progressive’ passes into forwards against a reasonably set defence, no matter how sexy the passes look.

So all the Baleba, Scott is not the right profile talk but Hackney and Wharton are is a load of horseshit.

TBF, 2 signings confirmed before the window even opens is definitely change. And I'm one who has been adamant that nothing would change.

I fully expect Kinsky will be the #1. Expect we'll look for a Friedel type cheap veteran that can potentially be a steady caretaker until next summer if the young lad falls apart.

There's been some talk about attacking players, though none all that exciting. We haven't changed our stripes that much, we're not spending £120M and £300kpw on a sexy CF signing.

I agree Will, I’m of the same opinion as you.

I’m not sure anyone is really that safe in this squad now, which is probably a good thing. DZ like to play a certain way (I posted an article in his thread from his time at Brighton which illustrates this) and will need the players to do it. It’s why I’m not certain we will sign Palhinha.

Lots to do so it’s great we got these two signings in early. Attack definitely needs a huge upgrade. But we are in a pickle when having kudus, odobert, Xavi, kulusevski all out long term. We can’t sell them because of injuries. So will need to look at moving out the fit ones, which I’m fine with btw. Selling Tel, Richy, Solanke this window and replacing them wouldn’t bother me at all. Problem is, it’s expensive.

It’s gone quiet about kanes contract extension.
Barca going for alvarez surely means no kane for them.

Even if kane wanted to come back to spurs it would take 200 mil + to make Bayern agree to it.

So our hope is him running down his contract so he can come back next summer which is not going to happen.

Maybe just Maybe he gets a release clause in his new contract so he could still leave next summer.
Slim chance but the most realistic scenario for a Comeback of Harry.
