Would you have rather we spent £100m on them?

Don't get the logic?
The logic is the rationale behind the signings. We're signing them because they are free. If they were commanding a significant transfer fee we probably wouldn't be anywhere near them.
Hopefully Robertson brings some much needed grit and a winning mentality, but as I've seen posted already, it seems odd that Frank and DeZerbi want the same player. 😆
To me, it’s opportunism. Grab the freebies, and ask the manager to make them work.
Not really how you'd expect a Big 6 Club to operate.

No , ive been here before

I agree, it's possible, and they have the CL to entice, and have just lost Konate.

Anyone who doesn't see what's probable here is not being realistic.

So, let's see what Lange/Ventkatesham do.

Lose the signing, given what happened with Eze, albeit a bit different, and it won't just br De Zerbi that starts to bristle and disbelieve.

So you wouldn't have wanted us to sign Thiago Silva or Matip because they were free when Chelsea and Liverpool signed them? I mean they are 6 clubs after all aren't they? Utd also signed Cavani and Zlatlan on a free as well, pretty sure Arse signed Jorginho too.

Think your view on football is a bit warped, if they're good and will add to the side so what? People like you would have moaned had we not snapped them up and someone else got there first.

It's a bit ironic to accuse the club of being cheap for targeting freebies, when the reality is Levy tended to avoid the free transfer market cos it means paying higher wages and signing-on fees to see off the competition. Think the only one we've done in recent years outside of backup keepers was Perisic as a gift to Conte and we only gave him a 2 year deal.

The very biggest clubs in the world like Madrid and Bayern fairly often get players on free transfers: Mbappe, Rudiger, Alaba, Laimer, Gueirrero, etc.

It really doesn't necessarily indicate cheapness - I'd bet we've having to pay competitive wages and signing on fees to get these guys over other clubs.

This happens every time a smaller club has a good run in the league. Leicester fans were giving it the big one when they finished ahead of us a couple times, acting like they were a massive club, and now Bournemouth are in Europe (probably for the first time in the entire club's history?) you get the same shit.

Good for them - well run club who have had a couple good years - but even the hint of the suggestion that they're bigger than us in any way is a complete joke.
Im old enough to remember Blackburn being 'bigger' than Spurs, and Leicester (twice) and Leeds, and West Ham.... it never ends well for the pretenders.

Location also matters. Even if it doe so less now that the money in the league is so good full stop.

Location played a big part in Madders coming here since he and his wife (her especially) wanted to move to London. I have heard similar about Senesi. That his girlfriend wants to live in London. Which makes sense since there are probably more of their compatriots in London than Bournemouth.
