The logic is the rationale behind the signings. We're signing them because they are free. If they were commanding a significant transfer fee we probably wouldn't be anywhere near them.
Hopefully Robertson brings some much needed grit and a winning mentality, but as I've seen posted already, it seems odd that Frank and DeZerbi want the same player.

It's a bit ironic to accuse the club of being cheap for targeting freebies, when the reality is Levy tended to avoid the free transfer market cos it means paying higher wages and signing-on fees to see off the competition. The very biggest clubs in the world like Madrid and Bayern fairly often get players on free transfers: Mbappe, Rudiger, Alaba, Laimer, Gueirrero, etc.
It really doesn't necessarily indicate cheapness - I'd bet we've having to pay competitive wages and signing on fees to get these guys over other clubs.
Im old enough to remember Blackburn being 'bigger' than Spurs, and Leicester (twice) and Leeds, and West Ham.... it never ends well for the pretenders.
