Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would take Undav in a heartbeat, although he just extended his contract this week and doesn't seem like a guy who just follows the money. With the Woltemade money in their pocket and Champions league to offer, Stuttgart is not going to sell. They always try to be as ambitious as possible, unless super stupid money comes in.

0% possibility in my eyes.
Ah if he just extended (and there isn't a reasonable release clause) then yeah, he's probably a no go.

What striker can we sign that is an upgrade on the current Richarlison/Solanke combo?

I'm being deadly serious. I know neither are great and both are injury prone but what strikers in the prem are easily better than them? Welbeck, Tiago and Calvert Lewin all had better seasons but we've seen Solanke and Richarlison have equally as good if not better seasons before we signed them. The only strikers in the prem who'd be 100% an upgrade are Haaland, Isak, Ekitike and Watkins.

Every Summer I hear we are selling Richarlison and signing a new striker but who do we get that will be better next season? I like the idea of going young and signing someone like Kroupi or even bringing back Troy Parrot as a good long term play but I wouldn't really expect either of them to outscore Richarlison next season.

This just comes off the back of reports what we are looking to sign Moises Kean. If he's the best we can get then I'm really not sure if we can actually find a suitable upgrade for Richarlison. Ask Everton fans which one they'd rather sign back and they'd all tell you Richarlison!

I'm not advocating for Richarlison either. I just can't see a suitable replacement and I don't want us selling him and not bringing in a replacement. The only realistic upgrade which excites me is Marmoush. Does anyone have any other names which they'd like to see us get to replace Richarlison? Its Marmoush or keep Richarlison for me.
Fair question. I thought Richy had a decent season last year scoring 12 goals and agree we shouldn't sell unless we have a clear upgrade. Thomas Frank's football is not conducive to scoring goals. I expect better output from our strikers next season under RDZ. With the injury issues this team has, we need 3 senior strikers. Kolo Muani obviously didn't work out but the logic was right from the club to bring in a 3rd option on transfer deadline day.

If we can bring in a Marmoush or a young gun like Kroupi and push the likes of Richarlison down the pecking order as a 3rd option, then the team will be stronger. It will be a bonus if the new striker brought in can also play wide. Gives RDV flexibity of playing multiple strikers together.

Wilson is older but he would have kept us up by about 9 points last season. He has real end product. Would immediately be our most dangerous attacker with Kudus crocked. (And I don’t even particularly rate him that highly)
You can't compare a City player to a Fulham player.
City play against 10 man defences every week. Teams like Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth etc play against teams that are wide open to exploit.
It's why signing forwards from those kinds of clubs is always a risk.

Understood.

I disagree and furthermore don't really think second striker is a position that exists anymore in modern tactics, but Tel was one of our few players giving his all as our season fell apart, so I'll give him a pause of expressing how crap he is.
I think second striker is making a bit of a comeback. Look at Kroupi at Bournemouth this season and Alvarez.

But granted we probably won't be playing like that anytime soon. But from a transfer perspective I'd keep what we have than spend more money on the likes of Savio for example.

That front three of Tel-Richy-RKM was completely useless, and with Kudus and Kulusevski not fit enough to make their respective World Cup squads, reinforcements don't appear imminent.

Any quality attacker would help us enormously atm. Savinho I see as more of what we've already got.

Another point on Marmoush. I would actually allow City to buy Porro if they make Marmoush and Savinho available to us as a swap deal transfer.

I think we can replace a right back much easier in the transfer market than getting an upgrade at striker / left wing in the same transfer market.

What a cluster fuck.
Imagine being told what to do by your Mrs' dad.
Maybe he should grow some balls. For a start, he's from Hereford area, which is about the same distance to Manchester as it is to East London.
As for her having a career of her own. She's worth in the region of £3-£5m for doing fuck all requiring talent or a base to operate from.
Jarrod Bowen earns aprox £8m per year. And he's an elite sportsman.
He should tell her and her dickhead old man that if they insist he stays in London, he's off to Tottenham.

I can see it now.

Fair enough, but why while we discussing an offer for Savinho?

But regarding midfield...I'd be fine with that. Even though I think Palhinha, Scott, Bergvall, Gallagher, Bentancur, Gray and Wharton would be one too many without Europe, and we can not loan Bergvall due to HG issues.

Yeah midfield is as much of a mess as the attack. It is why I am surprised we are pushing for Palhinha and giving Davies a new contract just because of numbers. We still have lots of injured attackers and cant replace them. I suspect if we get offers for Tel and Richy they will be the ones to go. Or I suppose we dont name Odobert and Xavi in the PL squad if they arent going to be back with us in 2026. That is one way around it.

Everything we’re seeing so far about the clubs actions points to the same old behaviour.

Lange and Vinai still here
No new DOF
The same transfer targets they wanted for Frank

There’s nothing tangible to suggest anything has changed.

De Zerbi won’t go before the season starts but he’s not stupid, he’s not hanging around trying to scrape together a team from a squad built by ENIComics

Don't think we will consider offers for Tel. As much as we need upgrades on the wings, at least he is fit and available and still can come good and offer more than average. We "lost" Kolo Muani and Brennan Johnson in the winter, no need for any winger to leave, case Solomon aside.
Richy could make place for a new more reliable striker. Thats actually needed.

That’s for multiple reasons. The right side was non existent with Muani playing out of position. That puts an extra burden on the others. Tel wasn’t getting consistent minutes and also the midfield wasn’t functioning without Bentancur to be able to keep the ball to actually sustain attacks just to name a few.

OR...

The club gave De Zerbi a list of who they had been currently looking at, and he's signed off on some and will also add/has been adding his own suggestions.

I doubt we bring people in unless he signs off on them, quite frankly.

Only thing I agree with you on is that Lange should 100% have gone by now, and we should have sorted a DOF already.

But your post and mine is all speculation - who the fuck knows. De Zerbi won't stick around if he gets fucked over, simple as that.

Transfer window hasn't even opened yet so let's wait and see.
