Vuskovic isn't ready to start in the PL for a top 6 side which is what we want to be

We'd be signing the two best ball playing centerbacks in the league, which bodes well for a possession based team and perfect for De Zerbi.
This is exciting.
Maybe, maybe not but you cant possibly know that, especially if the likes of Bayern and Barcelona see enough in him to be genuinely interested.Vuskovic isn't ready to start in the PL for a top 6 side which is what we want to be
Do you have a single good reason why that would matter?
Haha im not back tracking. I genuinely dont mind solanke and danso when the current ST market is so poor. With those 2 instead of hecke and Jackson my expectations for next season would be just as high tbh.
Also iirc youre transfer list you posted looked way more costly especially with regards to wages!
We will have 2 players for each position regardless.
The Van Hecke news makes me wonder if the rumors that Vuskovic has had his head turned by Madrid/Barcelona are true. Hope not but otherwise, don't think it makes sense to spend precious transfer funds to block a supposed generational talent when we need to upgrade in so many other areas of the squad. Would also like him to stay with us to start developing a connection with the team so that it's harder to turn his head going forward (assuming it hasn't been turned already). So I'd go with Vuskovic and Danso at RCB with Gray as emergency cover and spend the funds elsewhere.
IF we send Vuskovic out on loan again, I think he needs to go to a team that plays on the front foot. At Hamburg, he already proved that he can play for relegation fodder in a low block/back three/hoof it long system. But I think he now he needs to show what he can do on the ball - I'd like Vuskovic to do that with us and learn from DZB - But maybe Brighton will take him loan in exchange for a lower Van Hecke fee.
I doubt we will be selling Vuskovic. Unless we get a crazy offer. He's contracted until 2030. If we sign VH then he likely goes on loan for one more season. Then plays for us 27-28 as back up RCB. TBH given we have Danso, I'd be more tempted to play Vuskovic this season and spend big on no6/8 and a no9Confirmed exits for drag, Romero and possibly Vuskovic
Obviously focusing on the defence first then working forward.
Baleba next please
I remember reading about Brentford scouting Mbeumo almost purely on the number of chances he had more than the goals he scored.
The logic is that the most important instinct is the ability to sniff out chances because football is random and it’s harder to teach that kind of pattern recognition. Finishing can be worked on and improved. There’s been plenty of precedents to prove that too. Kane wasn’t really that prolific until he was…
Jackson has always been able to get himself into positions to score and tbh, the experience he has at 23 years old is pretty unique as well. I might have just talked myself into putting him above Osimhen for my striker priority list tbh

Look if it is truly a brave new world and we can afford Van Hecke, a first team no 6 and at least 3 quality attackers then great but remain sceptical on that.
Neatness.
If there's even the slightest genuine interest from Chavs and Scouse, there's no way this gets wrapped up early. Brighton will try to get a bidding war going - particularly with Chavs involved - as they seem to absolutely love paying top of the market fees when it comes to Brighton.I suspect it’s a deal we would like to get wrapped up early with the World Cup starting next week. It’s a pity there is no mention in Ornsteins article about us going for Verbruggen too.

I’d still have Osimhen above Jackson, he’s probably the best out and out striker not named Harry Kane or Haaland. But I think Jackson is by far the most suited striker to De Zerbi with the way he plays.
Yeah, i'm not sure i trust the brains that led us to back to back 17th place finishes tbh.I think the club knows that which is why we are trying to sign Van Hecke. They are best placed to know if Vuskovic is ready, and if he is farmed out on loan again it's clearly because he isn't.
If Richy and Romero leave we won’t have 2 players for RCB and CF
