Until the deal is done I won't be getting too excited re-Van Hecke.

Rumours are Saliba needs surgery and will either miss the world cup or have the surgery after the world cup. I think Woolwich might move for a centre back and they love to hijack us. This could very easily end in tears again.

Is there a chance that the CB’s will be VDV/Senesi and Van Hecke/Vuskovic and we sell Romero, Dragusin and Danso. Keeping Vuskovic could also mean you add possibly 5-10 goals.
Danso stays and Vuskovic gets loaned again is my guess but world cup performances could play a big part. If Vuskovic is starting for Croatia and has some stand out performances then we could change our mind and decide that he's ready.

I'm all for signing good players and Van Hecke seems like a good player, as well as Sensei, but it baffles me that we would chase two starting quality centre backs, one of which who will cost a serious wedge, when we have some major weaknesses in other areas of the pitch.

In what world do we need VDV and Van Hecke being backed up by Senesi, Danso and Vuscovic? We're not even in Europe this year.
Given our injury history I am all for having dept in as many positions as possible.

As for Vuskovic he is obviously getting loaned out again for his development.

Van Heck, Senesi and Robertson this early is quite good.

But I still worry about Savinho and the lack of goals.

Its the strikers and forwards that are the problem. Until we throw bags at people like Osimhen or Ramos. I dont know where we gonna score our next goal from.

We're likely going to sell Dragusin this window so makes sense to have more RCBs on stock.

And Vuskovic/his family seem intent on forcing a new loan to Hamburg so that Luka can play with his brother Mario once Mario's suspension is over in like November.
Vuskovic said himself that he won't be at Hamburg next season. I'd accept loaning him out only to Hamburg since it holds a sentimental value to him, but I don't get why we would loan him to another Premier League club. If he keeps playing well, he'll earn points that could've served us instead. If he doesn't, his value drops massively. It's a lose-lose.

These funds would make a serious difference if we bolstered our attack or midfield, rather than our defence where we have more than adequate cover.

Strange operations, for me.

My initial thinking was Romero + Dragusin sold, probably around £60m, that money goes into the midfield and Vuskovic comes into the squad

With the van Hecke I assume itll be more like Romero + Dragusin sold, the money covers van Hecke - And £20-30m goes into the midfield

Still not bad work, to be fair

Although the focus on defence over midfield/attack is unexpected to me

Either way, Robertson, Senesi, van Hecke in - Romero/Dragusin out = leaves us with a much better defence, with better balance

Don't get this. Are we loaning out Vuskovic again?
No, I don't think so. But have in mind that Romero and Dragusin is probably leaving, and having three class CBs (VdV, van Hecke, Senesi) aren't enough if we want to challenge for CL spots or if we get injuries - which with our history is not unlikely.

If Senesi doesn't join, I could very well see Danso stay as he's proved himself to be a reliable PL player. Vuskovic hasn't proved that yet and his first Spurs season will probably be focused on settling in and then trying to challenge for a spot in the starting XI. And thats good management: We don't have time for him not performing from the get go if we want to compete this season.

My guess is we're selling Romero, Dragusin and Phillips, IF we're buying van Hecke. And probably Danso too if Senesi joins.
