De Jong is much more realistic than Khedira and would be great to fill in whilst Bentley (edit: *ahem* Bentaleb) is away, as well as providing competition when he's back. Not sure what has happened to Capoue though, who can either look unbeatable or a liability.

As for strikers, I personally wouldn't want Berahino for the money being mentioned - a bit like Defoe, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but seems to have a bit of an attitude problem and I'd personally rather Ings, especially now that I've learnt that he's only 22!

I'm a fan of Jay Rodriguez, but you never know with ligament damage and it's way too big a risk.

He's coming back!?!?!?!?

DeJong - Couldn't cut it at Man City and left in his prime (27-28). Not sure if he'd fit the system; is he athletic enough to get forward and back? He's not known for being good in attack and Poch doesn't tend to want a specifically "defensive midfielder". I wouldn't want him. Delph fits the system better, even though he's an inferior player.

Lavezzi - Never cut it at a big club, only success was in Italy and that doesn't always convey well to England, 30 in May, will want huge wages and a long contract, would replace effectively Chadli and he'd be almost 31 by the time he adapts at which point he wouldn't have the legs for the system. Not worth the risk on a free, never mind paying £10 million for him.

Russia is in the midst of massive currency devaluation, middle east; possibly, but I cant see him wanting to go there. France, only PSG and I don't think they need him.
Turkish clubs can always get away with a massive wage thought. Monaco is still in a limbo, but i could really see him getting there. But QPR seems pretty realistic since they took Sandro, and Sandro in his prime ( when not injured ) is as hot as Adebayor. :harryhmm:

Can we stop talking about De Jong, he wants a three year contract from Milan, there's no way he's signing for us on a one or two year deal.

Maybe we could do a cheeky deal with Lyon, Ade and £12-15 mil going their way, Lacazette our way, surely with Alexandre off their books they could afford Ades wages, if not we could help them out a tad by taking Gonalons too

I don't think you actually comprehend wages over there or the situation. The tax on footballers is huge and most of them are on very low wages (Less than 50k). Ade is on around 100k, which means they'd have to give him 150k+ a week due to tax. So, no, they wouldn't pay his wages, they'd be getting a worse player, they're in the title run and Adebayor would refuse to move.

Pretty stupid post all around, really.

Adebayor's contract expires in 6 months right? Couldn't we do a wage deal thing a la City just to move the useless cunt on?
