I don't think you actually comprehend wages over there or the situation. The tax on footballers is huge and most of them are on very low wages (Less than 50k). Ade is on around 100k, which means they'd have to give him 150k+ a week due to tax. So, no, they wouldn't pay his wages, they'd be getting a worse player, they're in the title run and Adebayor would refuse to move.

Pretty stupid post all around, really.
It was a rather tongue in cheek post in all honesty, of course Lyon couldn't and wouldn't pay Ades wages, but it's always good to have a little optimism, however realistic it may be

Lots, I'd imagine. You don't get form like this over night.

Picture Wilshere there, worth it.

Why can't we just terminate his contract and tell him to fuck off if he asks for compensation and shit, he has already cost us an absolute bomb for doing jack shite

Because that's not how it works; we'd have to buy out the remainder of his contract regardless and we'd forfeit even the smallest amount that we might have to gain from a transfer fee. If we fucked him on compensation then he'd royally fuck us in court and pay through the fucking nose.

Better to put him with the kiddies and get some fire in him again, then come out swinging like he did under Sherwood.

Fair enough it's just so frustrating that we pay him so much and he doesn't give a shit, never plays and when he does, he doesn't perform. I believe his time is up, but not sure who would take him other than some middle eastern club and let's be honest, it's not glamorous and desirable enough for him, maybe you're right, shove him in with the kids and see if he comes back firing but if he doesn't that would be a colossal waste of money. We definitely need to find a solution to sort our little Ade out.

Play Ade v Burnley, see how he does. But we need another striker regardless of how he performs that day.

The Rabiot story won't go away. Considering Bentaleb will miss some games and Mason is prone to injuries, it seems like an okay deal (even without the option to buy). If we do end up with this loan it really shows how little Poch rates some of our CMs.

I hope we don't buy anyone at all. Would be happy to see Rabiot come in on loan, a few players to be shipped off and possibly buy (preferably loan with option to buy) a striker. Don't really care to speculate on who, because I just wanna see Harry Kane rocking it for the rest of the season tbh.

I don't understand this Rabiot link at all. Why would Poch, Mitchell and Levy want to develop PSG's youth players.

I remember noticing this guy when he was 16/17 making an odd appearance for PSG. Highly rated but never really stood out to be a potentially very good player.

Though, I do think he has been in the France set up for a long time.

I actually really would fancy Rabiot playing for Spurs ...

But idk, the no option to buy is a bit of a let-down, especially for a club like us. I feel it'll disrupt us more (in the long run) than actually help us. It feels like a bit of waste of time. Yes, we definitely need quality cover in CM ... but if we can only loan Rabiot, then I rather prefer us going to actually buy someone else, like the underrated James McCarthy, who has to be Everton's unsung hero (in their pretty decent last season).

Edit: I see some PSG fans believe that Rabiot has been better than Cabaye. But if PSG don't rate Cabaye anymore ... man, I'd rather love to permanently sign Cabaye, than only loan Rabiot.
