Chadli is talented, inconsistent and lazy, a chip to the back stick for a goal doesn't change that imo.
Playing for 90 mins and working hard or getting a shot on target might though.

Chadli and Lamela have had two years now, albeit a half season injured for the latter and they do not convince me one bit they will be consistent top drawer players.
Even Eriksen who I think is a supremely talented player and i never stopped praising him til late last year has gone missing on many occasions for us but i really think its more of an overall team problem.
Three games last season we looked almost invincible and you would all be able to name them.....
Chelsea, Woolwich and Everton all at home-remember how fluid we were? the pressing was there front to back, everyone did a job we looked class then bar a few good 2-1 away late wins where we kept going....nothing..

I agree that finishing outside the Top 4 is logical and realistic. My point is that we are not the only team off to a slow start, but some of the lot on here are ready to abandon ship, while maintaining that other struggling sides will magically find form. Just don't think it's logical to be so glass half empty about our squad and half full about other squads.
I'm willing at least to see who Poch brings in before the window shuts and how we perform in the next 5 fixtures or so before making any sweeping judgements on how this year will turn out. Still lots of footy to play!

Yet Eriksen does fuck all for 88 mins, scores a last min goal and everyone loves him? Seems like there's different measurements for both of them.
Eriksen goes missing just as much as Chadli, if not more. Simply makes up for it by being decent at free kicks. Just seems harsh that people knock him all the time.
An assist is usually a difficult pass. Shows bravery that someone attempts it. We have too many players in our squad who are passive, pass sideways, who get the ball outside the 18 yard box and don't shoot. So when someone does something aggressive/attacking, I can appreciate it.
I like my players to be brave and try something. If Chadli hadn't of crossed (Whoever it was intended for) we wouldn't have scored.
Don't agree with that at all man, Eriksen has the ability to run games if played in the proper position and bar Kane has won more points for us than anyone else for two years-Chadli chips in with a goal here and there as well but has far less impact on a game than Eriksen does though I agree they both along with a lot of our players go missing a lot.
What I would give for a Keane type in that midfield to shout the heads off the other gutless boys ahead..
Same goes for defence, we are too quiet-too many players hiding.
Not sure why people are suddenly getting upset over this. I've been saying it all summer. We won't finish in the top 4, we won't even finish close. 5th at best. Impossible with the current circumstances, spending (Or lack of) and wages.
People always say we can't get a player because they want CL football, which I think is a bit of myth. Money speaks louder than any competition and we're too afraid to spend it.

He has the ability to, but I don't think I've ever seen him do it the way that Modric did. Seems an anomaly, he's talented but he's never dominant.

This is the sort of thing that grates. Wasn't he the third highest goal scoring midfielder last year? Chadli SCORED MORE GOALS THAN ERIKSEN. 'Chadli scores more, but has less of an impact', honestly just baffles me. Eriksen doesn't run a game and neither does Chadli.
Completely agree about getting someone aggressive in though, someone to shout at people and lead them.
