Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He has confirmed to www.bt.dk they are in contract talks. Expires in 2018, so we'd better be.

Sounds though as if he's waiting for CL confirmation before committing. Makes sense selling this summer too, if we blow it (again)

Happy Birthday!

He ran more than any player today and got a well deserved goal!! :D Great pass from Lamela as well.

"It's a birthday I will remember for a long time!" (C.D. Eriksen)

What a touch. What a goal. What a moment.

One of THE best moments in Premier League history in terms of timing of the goal and how important it could be.

When I clicked to read this thread it sent me to Page 143 and a dispute from 16. January between the Dane and Totti, where they disagreed about Eriksen. They didn't disagree about whether he was good or bad, but why he was bad. Surreal.

Eriksen did have a bad spell this season. But that is a while back. In 2016 he may have been our best player so far. And that's saying a lot, with how good we've been.

I criticized him too back then. I remember that discussion was after Norwich at home on boxing day and the game after that against Watford I think he came off the bench and dictated play from deep a lot more since they were down to 10 men. Since then he's been playing more centrally and it improves his game so much

He didn't have a very good late 2015, but as you say he did improve significantly after getting benched. I think he did quite well against Leicester and Everton, even though he got subbed, and on the 16th., against Sunderland, he scored twice and had a good game. Since then he's been superb. But still, arguing over why he is bad on the 16th. seems strange, at least it does now.

Was surprised he wasn't one of the players subbed off yesterday.

Poch fucking knows!!!

In other news...

"I think everyone can see that I can fulfil my ambitions here."

For someone who has openly said he has a plan from the age of 16 (Widely suspected to be him moving to Barcelona....but in an interview he said when he trained there no one would pass him the ball and he didn't sound best pleased by them) this is high praise indeed.

He's effectively saying his dream move is here.

In my darkest moments, I worried that his poor performances were because he no longer suited the style of football we were trying to play - but I'm beyond thrilled that it was indeed only down to a temporary bout of poor form.

We may well end up having a possible shit-load of matches to play before the end of the season (cup performances pending), which raises concerns about squad fatigue - but there are definitely reasons to be cheerful in that department...

  • Eriksen is getting back to his best. Just in time.
  • Son appears to have finally thrown off that injury, and I think he'll get better and better the more he plays for us.
  • Vertonghen, though injured now, may well return to the squad just in time for the final push.
And for a cheeky punt on something glorious happening.... I'm gonna say that Onomah will turn his promising cameos into goals and a push for first team football. Starting with Fiorentina on Thursday.
:pochohshit:

Eriksen has really stepped it up since the turn of the year. Work rate, creativity, finishing have all gone up a notch and he's back to being one of our most important players. I have no doubt the competition in attack is contributing as there was a point where he got dropped, think it was the Watford game.

He is just what we need in games like yesterday and I'm excited to see how he does from now until the end of the season. Can't wait for confirmation of that new deal too.

My exact thoughts as well.

When we first signed him, it seemed like we would be just another stepping stone.

Seems like his tune has changed. Great to hear
