Look at Rooney's international scoring record, he never scored against a top team except in friendlies.

I'm not denying Rooney's class at club level, but at international level aside from Euro 2004, he went missing to the point he may as well not even have been there, then had the cheek to mouth off to England fans after he and the so called "golden generation" put in that pathetic performance against Algeria.
 
Thought Harry had an awful game by his own standards, but won the game (hopefully!) for us in the end so you can't do much more than that.

Declan Rice is a Rolls Royce of a midfielder. He could play for just about any side in world football. He gets better and better.
 
Sitting off a bit at 1-0 in this fixture in this context is alright, but fuck me was it a mistake against Italy.

Edit: and sure enough that was coming. 1-1 is fine from this game (if it finishes like this) but what a naive dropping off, and ultimately disappointing in how it panned out.
