some quite remarkable stats here:

It is now the best start to a season since 1960-61... seem to remember something good happened that season..

Ledley King has just played 2 games in 6 days... shock horror, how did he manage it...???

Scott Parker, Emmanuel Adebayor and Ledley King have yet to taste defeat this season for Spurs (Parker lost on the opening day for West Ham)

Adebayor, Defoe, VDV have 18 PL goals between them this season (after 12 games), the same number as Pav, Crouch & Defoe managed in the whole of last season in the PL

Ledley has played 17 games (15 wins, 2 draws) since being on the losing side for Spurs (Wigan at home Aug 2010)!!

Since losing to Man City, Spurs have scored at least 2 goals in every PL game since...

The total cost of our starting line up today:
Friedel (Free), Walker (£4m), BAE (£3m), King (Free), Kaboul (£5m), Lennon (£1m), Sandro (£8m), Parker (£5m), Bale (£7m), Defoe (£12m), Adebayor (Loan) = £45m is £5m less than Chelsea paid for Torres and just £10m more than Liverpool paid for Carroll...

Ledley King has gone 39 games since his last yellow card and has just 1 yellow card in his last 68 games...(his overall record is 8 yellows in 258 PL games)

saturday was our 100th away win in the PL

We managed 7 away wins last season, we already have 5 this season.....

Not until we played (and beat) Aston Villa on Boxing Day last season (match 18) did we pass 28 points!!!

Friedel, BAE, Kaboul & Bale have played every minute of every PL game so far...

Bale and Lennon have 4 assists each this season already (they only managed 4 between them in the whole of last season)

Adebayor might miss some gilt edged chances, but he has 7 goals and 6 assists already for Spurs....

Spurs have lost just 6 PL games at WHL under HR (out of 58) and have conceded a miserly 40 goals (scoring 101)... in fact only MU, MC and Woolwich have scored more than 2 goals in a PL game at WHL since HR arrived....

Our current form looks like this WWWWDWWWWW

We will go 2nd for a short time if we win our first saturday 3pm home kick-off of the season next weekend.

We will have won 6 consecutive games in the Premiership for the first time if we do manage to beat relegation threatened Bolton Wanderers next Saturday.

That just makes it all the sweeter. They should end the TW window after the CS to give all clubs at least a week with new players before the first game.

Just think were we could of been.

kiss of death thread!

Give it a few months and we'll see how fickle fans are. :innocent:

Struggling in a relegation battle without Ade and Parker? :ade:

Weird how he's managing his condition better this year. Wonder if they've changed anything regarding his fitness training etc.

could the answer to that be parker? a proper battling midfielder means he has to move less in the games as he has someone else cleaning up loose balls for him, resulting in less pressure on the knee?

I was wondering if it may have more to do with regular games and the fact he was suffering from muscle problems due to not playing or trinaing. It happens quite a lot when players rush back from injury too quickly - the muscles arent conditioned enough to deal with the sudded step up in intensity.

I literally can't take all this. The most part of me is happily jizzing away, but then there's this feeling deep down that all this is going to go wrong.

I even gloated to a Manure fan at work today by saying we're technically 2nd. I never gloat because it normally bites me on the arse.

Last 8 Seasons P W D L Record % Goals A GA Avg
With King 146 73 34 39 61.64% 166 1.14
Without King 131 46 40 45 50.38% 175 1.36

not red carded in the last 10 years as far as I can see. 10 yellow cards in that time (265 games)

I believe he has said this himself, something like he is only doing a quater of the running he used to have to do.

I thought I had read somewhere that since playing with Parker, King has covered less ground than he normally would.

Running an tackling less has for to help his poorly knee

Here's another one...

Adebayor fired in nine shots on target against West Bromwich Albion, more than any other player in any Premier League game in the last five-and-a-half seasons.
