The sheer lack of midfield options for us is painful. Id love to think this factors into Conte's thinking and we see something a little "progressive" whilst also fulfilling the need to have at least SOME cover on the bench for mids

Forster
Emerson - Romero - Davies - Perisic
Kulu - Sarr - Hojbjerg - Son
Kane
Richy

with Skipp as our midfield "insurance" in case of injury or early yellow cards for Sarr/Hoj... But it wont happen will it

Based on what he said in the press conference it will be our normal 343 with the two youngsters in midfield. Conte said there simply wasn't time to prepare anything different, playing Saturday and Tuesday we probably only have one proper training session between matches.

Hojbjerg is suspended.

No; it won't... Cos it can't happen. PEH can't play tonight.

As for lack of bench/depth? ....We're playing the depth because of injury/suspensions. Surely this is all obvious?

I think the break point is if Levy feels like CL is at risk. Despite all of our issues we're still within striking distance even though it doesn't feel that way.

The money CL brings in is far too important so the moment he feels that is at substantial risk he will make the move.
I can remember when it was all about the football, not money....

I smell the fear of a disaster
fans worried to lose with 3-4 goals difference
fans suggesting to switch all of a sudden our scheme to 4231
fans asking to play kulu or dier in midfield

this is so spursy, and I'm so so relieved now, thank you all

Hit a bad enough run of form and he'll be out. His contract ends at the end of the season so its not like he would cost too much to sack.

And Poch is lurking in the wings as a safe option to bring in on short notice. The big positive of Conte seeing out the season is obviously that you can spend the entire spring planning for whoever is supposed to take over. But Poch is free and seemingly not averse to coming back.
Who amongst us remember how appalling his last few months became....he hasn’t changed, we haven't changed.....why would he come back? Why would we want him back? Especially to a team still lacking in key positions...

If he picks Son again today, if he picks Tanganga again today, if he again sits there while the 11 he picks are dismal, and makes no change until the 80th minute then I actually think even Levy would do a better job.

Conte is not an idiot, so doing what he did against Leicester is telling IMO.
Absolutely....he wants to get fired...
