There's no guarantee he wins anything next season. And ultimately the league is the bread and butter and he hasn't been good enough. It's a better indicator of a managers performance.
I don't know why I would need to know who should replace him to see that our league performances have been unacceptable this season.
Out bread and butter? We aren’t gonna finish 1st, or second. What is bread and butter to you? Finishing top 4-5 with no trophy? We have had that under Poch, it wasn’t overly exciting to me anyway. Every fan is entitled to an opinion, but IMO I would much rather see us win something, no one remembers a top 5 finish, it’s why supporters of other teams laugh at us.
I want to win trophies and see us play well throughout the season.
If you have any actual ambition for the club. Regularly finishing top 4 is the cornerstone for financial investment due to the money from CL. You could argue finishing 17th but winning the europa league every season is a 'strategy' too. But money = success so being a CL club consistently will allow us to build towards winning one of the two big trophies.
It's silly to discuss this without knowing who we could possibly get.
We have a sophisticated board (I hope). Talks are being had about potential options, and Ange in is one of them.
It's not a simple "yes" or "no". It's a "yes, Ange, on what conditions", "no, Ange, with x available", "no Ange, with Y available" or "no one other than Ange".
We would be silly not to see what other managers may be available. We would also be silly not to have a serious discussion with Ange to see what his plan is to improve his league performance (if any). Only then do you make a multi-million pound decision.
