Overall I'd definitely give Ange a 7/10. Reason being he didn't get sacked and did better than 6th which is what I predicted before Kane left. In a way he started too good and finished too bad. If I ignored his press conferences and we ended with the first 10 games it'd be an 8/10.

You misspelt 7 so I fixed your post.

2/10 for Met policing.

5th place, out in cups early, ended up 3 points ahead of Chelsea and not beating any of our rivals all league season is a 7/10 season to you?

Fair enough. I thought solid job, did a bit better than expected in the league but non-entity in the cups. Not bad not great either. Average for me.

Has at least tried to get us paying good football, coped with the Kane sale, has done well with Udogie, VDV and Porro. 66 pts and 5th would have been acceptable start of the season.

Negatives, 4th was there for the taking after beating Villa and we blew it when it mattered, dreadful in the cups but unlucky draws tbf , the football has been mostly poor and disjointed in 2024, set piece and defensive weakness. Downwards trajectory through the season.

Quite difficult to judge, maybe 6 out of 10. I was happy enough with the appointment but have been a bit dissapointed overall. We need some good signings this summer and he needs a good start to next season.

Based on comparisons with last season, yes it is.

It wouldn’t be 7/10 next season if we don’t improve on it. That’s how I’m marking it.

7/10, I had us down in 8th roughly at the start so clearly it’s more than a 5/10. Style of football has been often great, had we been better and not been stupid on corners/defending against Arse, Chelsea etc and got results I’d have probably given an 8 or 9.

It at least feels we have a direction. Won’t be for much though if the summer transfer window isn’t good, it’s clear we need 5-6 ish players.

Would have taken 5th before the season started considering we’d just sold Kane. Shame to have finished so close to 4th, ruing West Ham, Villa and Wolves home and away - shouldn’t have lost any of those.

7/10 is fair. Maybe an 8 but no real challenge in the cups, a few embarrassing beat downs, and getting swept by Chelsea hold it back. Overall moving up by 3 places after losing our best player right before the season started, completely changing our style of play, having a ton of injuries, integrating quite a few young players, and a few unlucky results. It was a very solid season. The teams below us (Chelsea, Newcastle, and Man United) should earn us a little more respect for how hard it is to compete in the PL. They have all spent massive money. Would have loved CL football but I think continuing to build that winning mentality is important so a real good chance to make a run at the Europa League could be a positive. In Ange I trust.

5/10 for me. Not all has to do with Potecoglu. Started excellently, injuries exposed our lack of depth. We were likely the most fouled team at some point and somehow also had the most yellow cards. Referee’s outside of that stupid Liverpool error gave us nothing and it truly makes me question the integrity of this league.

In the end we had an excellent chance at Top 4 and failed miserably, which is a massive lost opportunity. Our management team is stubborn, and they come across at times as naive and inflexible. Not dealing with set pieces until the last games of the season, where Vicario finally had some protection.

On the positive side Postecoglu always seems to get the better out of players in the second half, is well spoken, has experience rebuilding sides and winning. With a more a refined coaching staff and new players suited for kamikaze football maybe we will be up there fighting for 4th next year.
