I can't help but agree with this as well. Although I will say, Ange signed off on Werner which is shocking to me.
The only reason I could justify him doing that is if he was told "it's this or nothing"
do we know he wasn't told that?

Well no, we don't but I don't think we will ever know what he has been told.
It's remarkable the amount of 'I told you so' posts after one game of the season. The only people happy with anything are the ones that were waiting for our first right result so they could take the opportunity to drag everyone else down into depression.
Those are the people loving this result, it couldn’t have been better for them.

Yep ridiculous! It's remarkable the amount of 'I told you so' posts after one game of the season.
The goal we conceded was school boy level management imo.I admire the manager for talking the talk but right now he isn't walking the walk, we definitely have structural issues, the way Leicester cut through us in the 2nd half was pretty concerning and our rest defence is poor, there's just not enough urgency when defending or in transition.
The forwards lacking composure and choosing the wrong options isn't his fault but it is his fault if he picks Johnson who lacks composure himself.
If it doesn't fix them he's gonna find himself out of a job, pretty simple - I do like him but he's gotta think of solutions real quick because it will spiral out of control.
People aren't angry specifically about last night.Oliver Glasner was mentioned on this thread as a replacement for Ange but hang on didn't he lose his first game of the season away to mighty Brentford?
I wonder if the Palace fans are on their forum moaning about him?![]()
Sounds good. Over to you, Mr Levy...All Ange needs is a first XI of the best players on the planet to implement his visionary system and we’ll win the league. It's really that simple.
this is a common theme it seems with this manager, wants all the ball but the best chances go to the oppo.the two best chances fell to Vardy despite us dominating the ball
Need to consider the disruption from the large number of absences we had for large spells last season.People aren't angry specifically about last night.
They are angry at the last 29 league games, with the 40% win ratio and the lack of killing teams off and converting dominance into points.
As a one off, start to the season game you can write things off. But starting the season exactly the same way as we finished sets alarm bells ringing for people that don't need that much convincing.

If looks worse because the opposition appears more clinical. They know they'll get chances, they just invariably take them.this is a common theme it seems with this manager, wants all the ball but the best chances go to the oppo.
maybe it is largely down to the wingers not being up to it, but they are still his wingers and he still picks them, so it falls on him.
he was the best forward out of the 3 that startedIf you had told me in June that we would start our first game with the same team but with the addition of a journeyman striker from Bournemouth then last night is exactly the kind of result I would have predicted.
Well actually we beat Burnley, Forest and other strugglers too. We just lost to the good teams.well actually we finished the season with a 0-3 away win to sheff only conceding one shot on target all game![]()
its the quality of chances they get tho aint it. they get far more cleaner, clear cuts. because a lot of the time its an attacker one on one with our keeper.By

All the moaning in the world isn't going to change Ange or his approach. The intention is to outscore teams. That's it. We just didn't do it last night, or enough last year when it mattered.
I don't disagree mate. I thought we were phenomenal the first 45 minutes. But completely ignoring the context of different circumstances and the fact that last night was nothing like last season. If anything that 60mins was much more like the famous first 10 games that people like to ram down everyone’s throats at every opportunity.
Yeah, the thing is though you'd think we finished 15th reading some of the posts on here.People aren't angry specifically about last night.
