Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I am at peace with our style of play and playing out from the back, inciting teams to press us leads to many of our best play and goals. It was pleasing to note that Spence and Gray both seem very adept at it too. What frustrates me about Ange is that he seems very slow to react to momentum swings. The momentum swing happened at 3-0 when Man U brought on 3 fresh players and committed more men forwards. We were already running on fumes and could not cope with the tempo that Man U set. That said, it was only 2 individual errors by Forster (who has been MotM in ~80% of the games since Vicario's injury) that let them back into the game. Also, last night was tough as we did not really have a bench for Ange to be able to change anything, and both Bergvall and Johnson struggled when they came on.
Bit unfair on Bergvall that.

Shady, your response demonstrates exactly why your opinions hold so little weight.

Rather than engaging with the actual argument, you consistently misframe others as irrational or ‘hysterical,’ seemingly because you lack the ability to address their points with any substance. Case in point: Ange’s comment about football management being the hardest job in the world.

My critique was straightforward—it’s an absurd and tone-deaf statement, especially when compared to roles like military service, healthcare, or emergency response. It’s not ‘hysterical’; it’s a basic observation of perspective and privilege, the man makes £2 mill a year after tax to stand at the side of a pitch, an absolutely absurd statement and frankly embarrassing.

Also, regarding your bizarre fixation on my past opinions, like a pre-season comment you’ve clearly clung to (which I can’t even remember, wouldn’t surprise me if you had it in a word document somewhere along with your collection of poster quotes you bring up after losses) further highlights your obsession. You spend countless hours here telling others to ‘chill’ or ‘touch grass,’ yet your own posts reek of hypersensitivity and a relentless need to stir conflict. The irony is almost impressive.

Frankly, your contributions add little value on here. You dodge real debate, distort what others say, and resort to petty quips. Your attempts to provoke don’t upset me and your opinions barely register because you rarely offer any on the debates at hand—the only thing that even remotely irritates me about you is how you drag down the quality of discussion for everyone else.

If you genuinely believe in fostering better debate, start by engaging with points intelligently rather than projecting your own lack of self-awareness onto others. Otherwise, it’s impossible to take you seriously.

In before you say your “You think I am going to read that” because you have nothing else to offer.

I will save you the time, like I said before, I don’t actually care if you read it, so no need to respond unless it’s actually constructive and offers a counterpoint to what I initially said about Ange.
He's a fucking troll. Should be universally on ignore by now.
There's a handful on here who would argue with literally anything some people say.
They're trolls.

We had 10 players out you muppet

This is the same team you've been waxing lyrical all over since the Summer by the way and you were adamant they've overtaken us yet here you are making excuses for them when they have a full squad to pick from

Clown sanctuary in full swing again, I swear half of you aren't Spurs fans
Pategoniapillock definitely isn't, Chelsea Blue through and through.

I think as a team and club we have issues with leadership and game management but neither of those were an issue last night, the pressure was brought on by 2 huge GK errors. The 2nd in particular isn’t even a consequence of playing style, Forster had SOOO much time.

For me I was more concerned by the space we gave Bruno in that first half and how eerily similar it was to our inability to deal with Enzo in the Chelsea game. I appreciate we play high risk football but we have to spot the issues and deal with them, the MF runners are our Achilles heel right now.

Overall though I thought we were good, and this really should have been a comfortable victory. Ange deserves credit for that bearing in mind the injuries.

2 key points that I hope Ange has taken note of:-

1) We’re just a flat out better side with the front 4 we had yesterday. Johnson and Son as the wide players just doesn’t give you any relief of pressure or an outlet. Would love to see this front 4 more often.

2) If everyone gets back to fitness and Ange dumps Spence back into obscurity I’ll be fucking raging. From both an attacking and defensive perspective he offers so much. Mazraoui has been excellent for Utd this season and he was terrified of Spence’s athleticism. This feels like a Gareth Bale moment for Spence (not expecting him to get to that level of course) where it was injuries and circumstance that got Bale into the first team and then he flew. I hope the same is true or Djed.

Great win. Not the best semi draw but you know with us it’ll be entertaining!

This is the latest stick.

Yes he's not the most animated which I quite like - look at Legohead as too far the other way.

I'm pretty sure I heard him absolutely screaming at one point tonight though. Think it was at 3-1 or 3-2.

It is a fine line isn’t it. Not shout and scream at the players and let them work things out for themselves and it shows that you have faith and belief in their ability to do that.

He’s said recently he doesn’t want the players to pass it back to the keeper but move the ball up field instead or come to other solutions, that’s what he means by that.

It isn’t possible to play the same way for 90 minutes but I’m actually, and I’ve said this about a hundred times in the last two years, more pissed at the players for their naivety and lack of game management. Go down faking injury, take the ball to the corner, take ages over set pieces. Do the things the other teams do, but we don’t. We don’t lose that game v Brighton if we do that for example. There’s countless other times. It took an 18 year old in bergval to do it last night so if a kid can play that type of game then the others can too.

Obvious he's not Spurs, he fits in well here because he can lay with the pigs in the misery mud on here and not look out of place

Stop it, he's already dead.

The best bits from a complete and utter dismantling of a troll, fucking LOL.
