It is a fine line isn’t it. Not shout and scream at the players and let them work things out for themselves and it shows that you have faith and belief in their ability to do that.

He’s said recently he doesn’t want the players to pass it back to the keeper but move the ball up field instead or come to other solutions, that’s what he means by that.

It isn’t possible to play the same way for 90 minutes but I’m actually, and I’ve said this about a hundred times in the last two years, more pissed at the players for their naivety and lack of game management. Go down faking injury, take the ball to the corner, take ages over set pieces. Do the things the other teams do, but we don’t. We don’t lose that game v Brighton if we do that for example. There’s countless other times. It took an 18 year old in bergval to do it last night so if a kid can play that type of game then the others can too.

There was at least a early interview of some sort and we were interested. But there was some form of issue regarding release fees with Feyenoord (who were marauding towards the league title).

But we were by all accounts impressed and him open to the opportunity. Not like Ten Hag who supposedly flubbed his interview.
