I don’t usually agree with you, but I think 5th -8th is probably the realistic limit of this team. With borderline +/- 1 position. Targeting the fringes of European spots, whatever for it takes.

We finished 5th, our rolling 18 month points tally is about 10th.

What is a fact is that our 2024 form and season to date form is way below that. What is also a fact is that we are in the top 10 richest clubs in the world. We are falling way beyond that too.
I think that being anywhere between 4th-7th is the fair expectation of any Spurs team given the money that Levy is actually willing to invest. Anything above that is over performing. And anything below is most definitely underperforming.

This team should not be 13th. 8th I can get but not 13th at this point in the season.

Probably on the same proviso as last season, that I'll go to some games and sell some games.

FOMO is what keeps me renewing.
And the alternative of "quality time" with the family is a hard choice.

And this is part of the problem.

Levy sees renewal staying high. Fans are not voting with their feet. He can up some prices again. The money is in the bank

I am sure Ange also gives us an increase in interest and I dare say membership money and sponsorship opportunities in other parts of the world. We are a global brand now.

Just like you’re not buying you’re ticket for purely football reasons I get the impression Ange is being given time other managers wouldn’t get for similar reasons.

We won’t get relegated. We might get make a cup final.

And I’m not sure exactly what Levy wants or needs from the football club right now. To stay relevant enough to get into a European super league I guess. Need to pull our fingers out to do that.

So….Forest for instance have a better squad than us? Really?
Forest debatable, but it’s closer than you think, particularly their starting 11 compared to ours.

But certainly Liverpool, Woolwich, City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa all have better squads than us. United if they get their act together potentially as well.

Point is, we’re a mid table side on paper.

We have absolutely no divine right to be challenging for top 4.

I just dont get why he'd get the cup games. We might yet salvage something from a shit season but wont if he stays, he just isnt upto it. He cant lose to Everton and expect to stay.
Our get out of jail card is the EL but fuck me this buck eejit has fucked up against Roma Gala and pub league no hopers Rangers. There’s nothing there that suggests we could even fluke it on a good day.
Every day that goes by makes it harder for a new guy to resurrect something.
The writing should’ve been on the wall Oct after the Palace and Brighton debacles with a 12 month ppg heading for bottom half of table.

that suit fits too well to be fat cunt.

The deeper you look into it the more it appears not just about injuries. Of course we have been unlucky in that respect, although some of it has been exacerbated by daft desperate decisions to rush players back such as Van der Ven and Romero before they were ready.
But if you look back further to last season we got 6 points from our last 7 matches with the two victories being against Burnley and an already relegated Sheff Utd. During those 7 matches both Romero and VDV were fit.
So the last 28 PL games have yielded 30 points or put another way 30 points from a possible 84. Almost relegation form over an equivalent period of 3/4 of a season.
He is out of his depth

but the first ten games, mate

The last 2 performances were unacceptable for me. Lack of heart and fight in both games. After such a strong display against Liverpool, its so frustrating.

I think Ange will be lucky to finish the season. Its become unacceptable whats happened and we can never accept the unacceptable!

You're being unfair here. We don't have Harry Kane, what more can we expect?

You and I aren't ever going to fix the Levy problem.
Sure, money is money for ENIC, but they'll know how many people attending games aren't the actual season ticket holders. The more it happens, the more they will get nervous about a lack of renewals.

In reality though, none of it matters anymore. The football team is just a regular act at the multipurpose Tottenham Arena now.
If Ange and the boys don't improve, Levy is more likely to cancel Spurs and give the venue to another team.

His failure to rotate earlier in the season has ruined us.

There’s a reason why Bergvall, Gray, and Spence have looked like our best players lately. All part time players earlier.

Same reason why players who have played every match for us (Solanke, Kulu, Porro) have dropped off immensely

That's an extreme.

The squad is easily good enough to challenge for the top 4 (which is currently another 3-4 wins) but it's not top certified top 4 material.

There is an explanation for any positive stat any cultist can come up with.
The +GD is because we scored a lot of goals in a small number of games.
Liverpool in the cup aside, every "big win" we've had has been against a big name in bad form, down to 10 or even 9 etc.

It's not the players. They looks entirely uncoached at this stage. There's nothing there anymore, no muscle memory, no plan, nothing.

He's a total fraud and has to go.
And of you're still behind him, you can fuck off with him.
Thing is we've seen this time and time again...

A new manager comes in and there will be an uptick in performance, if nothing else because they will do something different, and probably get back to basics as a starting point.

I can't believe that people actually think that this is it, nobody could be doing better, it's bizarre.

Not even commenting on his managerial ability, Ange has gotten himself muddled up mid-project and hasn't a clue how to get himself back on track, he's disappeared up his own arse and can't find a way out, the only way this is going to get better is with a fresh start.

Some wild takes in here :D

Our squad is much better than what it's currently showing but I don't think it's top 4 material, it's top 6 and pushing top 4 IMO

Agreed, truth is in middle of the extremums as per usual.

I would also say that our squad is currently far from "guaranteed top 4". Likes of Liverpool, Woolwich, ManCity and Chelsea are ahead of us I'd say.
Newcastle has some really brilliant players (Gordon and specially Isak upfront; Guimares and Joelington in MF), but their defense is VERY meeh.
Aston Villa is another one in the middle - they have some really good players, but depth is quite questionable.
ManU has some players but they are in turmoil, overall squad-quality-wise I would put us ahead of them.

I would say that there are 4 teams ahead of us. And then 2 teams we are more or less on similar level. ManU one notch below.

But we surely don't have bad enough squad to be on 14th place, on equal points with Crystal Palace on 15th.

I think it’s both true that the squad isn’t good enough, and that a lot of other managers out there would get more from this squad.

I simply don’t want us spending more money on Ange specific players when we could get a better manager and give them the money.

I think it says something when Kulu is our best attacker, yeah he is good, but my word, where does he compare to some of the attacking players we’ve had in the last 35 years - he wouldn’t make the top 10.

Two things need to happen, 1. We need a better manager, the sooner the better, give him time this season to assess where he needs to strengthen 2. Proper summer spending, co ordinated, joined up thinking with a long term plan. Like Woolwich have done, it needs to be sustained over 3 summers.

I expect number 1 will happen but not 2 and we will get someone decent who will have us around CL spots but never backed to go any further - but that is an improvement on what we currently have

For the last 4/5 months of the season it’s exactly what we need. A bounce and up tick.

Worry about next season in May. Right now they need wins and points on the board. We are virtually guaranteed to lose to any of the top 6 home or away for the remainder of the season on current evidence. And you can 100% write off the Bridge and Anfield. We probably have 6-8 games in which to score the 20 points needed to completely avoid a nightmare final act.

Time is now to change.

The time for long term strategy was over months ago. This is press the panic button time. If he’s still in charge at the weekend then for the first time in my life I’ll be cheering on the oppo.
A 4-0 loss at EFC with 2 players sent off and Ange decking the ref? If it takes that then bring it on.
