He’s the one, btw.

I think he's a good fit, especially with the coaches we have employed already.
There wasn’t a counter attack because we never got the ball to them. That’s not Sonny or Deki’s fault.Arteta came up with another easy way to nullify us. Press the ball to our left side so our keeper/players have to play wide ball to Son.
And Son either does not jump for header, or is easilly dispossesed by defender (happened like 3 times just in first 25 minutes?)
And old tricks still worked as well. Once ahead due to set piece/buildup fuckup, sit deep and wait. We would not score 2nd even with additional 90 minutes.
At least ball movement on our half was improved in 2nd half due to Ange adjustements (mostly personal changes) - but then we were completely toothless in final 3rd.
Btw it was funny to see Deki and Son left forward during their corners. Both terribly slow these days. Not single counter was generated because of that.
That and a sub-standard medical team...And we get injuries because of shit tactics and I imagine suicidal pressing training sessions
This squad is a top 4-6 squad. And as been ruined from terrible management and tactics.
I think that initial bounce was mostly due to an injection of new players and youth last season. VdV, Udogie, Porro, Maddison, they all contributed heavily in that period. All have either suffered injuries or a serious loss of form ever since.Thing is we've seen this time and time again...
A new manager comes in and there will be an uptick in performance, if nothing else because they will do something different, and probably get back to basics as a starting point.
I can't believe that people actually think that this is it, nobody could be doing better, it's bizarre.
Not even commenting on his managerial ability, Ange has gotten himself muddled up mid-project and hasn't a clue how to get himself back on track, he's disappeared up his own arse and can't find a way out, the only way this is going to get better is with a fresh start.
If even he can see the end is nigh then the end must be nigh.
Hoddle is shit but he would do better.Ange isn’t guy but I’ve no interest in a mason or Moyes type in until the summer.
If the next guy won’t take the job now. (Iraola etc) there’s no point in changing
Where does that 90%+ come from? Last I read in the press was that over 50% still wanted him to stay. And even here only 48.8% definitely want him out, with the remainder either in or unsure.West Ham sacked Julen Lopetegui 8 days ago for his horrendous league form.
They're above us by 2 points. How the fuck is that acceptable? How have West Ham and United both seen their woefully out-of-depth managers and pulled the trigger (Ten Hag won a fucking FA cup in May btw) and we're still dallying over the decision it has dawned on 90%+ of supporters that we desperately need to make, and fucking quick?
I think it’s both true that the squad isn’t good enough, and that a lot of other managers out there would get more from this squad.
I simply don’t want us spending more money on Ange specific players when we could get a better manager and give them the money.
I think it says something when Kulu is our best attacker, yeah he is good, but my word, where does he compare to some of the attacking players we’ve had in the last 35 years - he wouldn’t make the top 10.
Two things need to happen, 1. We need a better manager, the sooner the better, give him time this season to assess where he needs to strengthen 2. Proper summer spending, co ordinated, joined up thinking with a long term plan. Like Woolwich have done, it needs to be sustained over 3 summers.
I expect number 1 will happen but not 2 and we will get someone decent who will have us around CL spots but never backed to go any further - but that is an improvement on what we currently have
I never want to hear the word "project manager" again. It's absolute bollocks. We don't have the luxury of waiting for the "perfect manager" to start a new "project". We're sliding down the table and are in desperation mode of needing a coaching setup that's better than the one we've got.
And when you look at it from that perspective.. A potential shortlist starts to look quite long.
You and I aren't ever going to fix the Levy problem.
Sure, money is money for ENIC, but they'll know how many people attending games aren't the actual season ticket holders. The more it happens, the more they will get nervous about a lack of renewals.
In reality though, none of it matters anymore. The football team is just a regular act at the multipurpose Tottenham Arena now.
If Ange and the boys don't improve, Levy is more likely to cancel Spurs and give the venue to another team.

that poll was taken quite a while ago now, each new horrific result is opening more and more eyes.Where does that 90%+ come from? Last I read in the press was that over 50% still wanted him to stay. And even here only 48.8% definitely want him out, with the remainder either in or unsure.
Oh and I'm one of the 48.8%.
I don't want to hear about Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Sprints, MS Project, touching base or whatever. I have enough of these people in the office!
I'm one of the suckers. No matter what this summer I'm 99% renewing. This club has well and truly got me by the short and curlies.Renewals always hold firm. FOMO wins. Even with someone like Ange in charge who the ST holder has zero faith in.
They might have hit the field baying for blood but their balls quickly shrivelled.I like Ange as a person. I actually enjoy his interviews. Think he’s more honest than a lot of managers out there.
I don’t even mind his tactics. I like what he’s trying to do. Does try the odd wee tweak (two left up front for their corners last night), but we need a reset, not tweaks.
But he doesn’t have the players to do it, so should react to this and do something else until he does.
And it’s unforgivable to not have the players hitting the field last night baying for blood.
