Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If they don't follow Ange's direction then they're out. It's as simple as that because he is ruthless at removing those with any type of non-commitment to his methods. Also any malcontents in the dressing room will quickly be out the door before they're feet hit the ground. You're all in on the Ange way or you exit the club. Can't wait to see how his methods work once they start to come together. It is a ball bounce to get his way of playing drilled into players and you'll definitely see what's he's trying to do real fast but the approach takes time to perfect.

Here's the BBC article for the last match he lost in the league in hist first season just before it all started to click. When others realised what had happened it was too late as we'd went on a long undefeated run.

Unexpectedly concise report from Ali Gold, who normally fluffs out his articles like he's paid by the word. Very positive, with this heartening section in particular:

The club's U21s returned last Thursday and Postecoglou has made a point of including a number of them in his early sessions and opening a clear dialogue with the academy to ensure the brightest talents are given a pathway to his first team over the coming months and seasons.

Look forward to seeing both Alfie Ds in match day squads.

Regarding the under 21s at Celtic, his first season he mostly just let them get on with it.

The second season he sent one of the coaches he'd worked closely with the previous season, Stephen McManus, to run the under 21s and instill his philosophies. This was to more closely align the playing styles and training methods/intensity, so that if a player was called up to the first team, they were already used to those things, therefore hopefully easing the transition. May do something similar here.

*edit* ... assuming he makes it to next season

We said the same thing with Jose and Conte but we see how that went. I agree with you but just saying that the reality is that the power tends to sit with the players and not the coach. Either it is the senior players teaming up against the coach, and/or it’s too difficult and costly to shift the players when you can just change out the coach.

Oh, and Ange was certainly spotted with a notebook in his early days at Celtic. He's up on all technology.
It may take a few months, but you'll eventually realise its just the way people on here are. After a while,it will amuse you and you will take the abuse as a sign that you are liked.
That or you'll think f**k em, i will continue to post just to annoy them... 😁 😁

It is what we have needed at THFC for a long time. If he manages to do this but then doesnt follow it up with relative success on the pitch then at least he will have done this bit, which we need so badly.

Ange off to winning start

An early victory for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham. The new manager has already taken a big step towards winning over staff and players by providing a training schedule for the next month.

Such forward planning is a marked change from predecessor Antonio Conte's reign. Under Conte there was no schedule and a training time for the next day was decided the night before.

That approach caused pain for players and staff alike, who found it difficult to arrange time away from the training ground or commit to time with their families.

In line with what we have read about him: you will know exactly what he expects of you. And from the above it looks like you will know waaay ahead of time too. :p
