Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ange has the 6th highest paid squad in the Prem

So is 13th ok Ange ?

I would love to wind him up

Ok so based on the money we should be sixth.

But we haven't played out best 11 for a long time. What's the value of the players that he has played? Where does their pay sit in the Prem?

If I was to put table position on it, under the circumstances we should be around tenth. We're 13 th.

Jesus Christ.

These excuses are getting next level.

The manager who admits the first season he has players they are likely to get injured. I think he’s part of the problem here!!

The manager next season shouldn't be decided by what trophy Ange does or doesn't win. The manager next season or any season should be the person best placed to improve the team going forward.

Who is the best person for the team and club for now and into the future. That is the only discussion management should be having.

I'm predicting 13 more points on the rest of the Prem season

Fulham - D
Chelsea - L
Southampton - W
Wolves - D
Nottm Forest - L
Liverpool - L
West Ham - D
Crystal Palace - W
Aston Villa - D
Brighton - W

That would take us to 47 points.

With Will Lankshear (19), Mikey (17), Damola Ajayi (19), Dane Scarlett (20) and now Wilson (20) all having scored for us in the Europa League this season, we are now the first side since European competitions began to see five players under the age of 21 find the back of the net in a single season
Just because a number of players scored does not mean that their development is being handled correctly. Most of these players have had very few minutes- far fewer minutes than required for their proper development. I'm glad they all scored of course.

Nor should he. As things stand, he should be gone, but if he wins that trophy, he should stay.

That's where I'm at as well. If he wins the EL, I think he deserves a shot at next season. Not because I have complete faith in him but because there's no guarantee with another manager and I'm frankly so tired of our managerial merry go round.

The injuries have been unusually horrendous this season. If Ange stays, we'll see what happens on that front. Surely it cannot repeat itself.

So why keep playing the same system and losing when you know your best players are missing for months not a few weeks ?
don't gve me to reinforce his system he's had 18 mths training tme to do that

I think your predictions are probably right for a normal spurs team of recent times, but I don’t think we will get that many points. For example, against Wolves we are bound to rest a lot of players as it’s between the Frankfurt games. Also for a normal team I’d probably not tinker too much to see if we could build up a head of steam and some form, but because of what ever we are doing producing so many injuries, we just can’t do that. (West Ham in between the semi final dates too if we are being optimistic.)

Totally fair points- I am erring on the side of optimism. Advancing deeper in EL will make it harder to get points in the prem too.

Well it’s not is it! I SPEAK FACTS!!

Facts!!!!

Last 25 years.
Cup or top 4? Both??
Never.

What manager / coach has levy full backed in that 25 years. Not 1.

And at no point do I believe you have played naked hide the sausage with Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron. Not by themselves and definitely not at the same time.
You scallywag.
I'm saying is don't want to chose and it shouldn't have to be as binary as one or the other.
We've had at least 2 cup finals when finishing top 4, haven't we?

And it shows in the very few minutes the academy players had that they were able to make an impact. Even a club like Chelsea who are almost addicted to signing players seem to do a decent job of bringing academy players through, Ange’s deep reluctance to use academy players in the PL -even in the depth of the injury crisis - is part of that overall stubbornness which will get him sacked.

His failure to play them is not in the best interests of the club, it’s purely in self interest to try and save his job. We will no doubt see Solanke for 80+ mins today, which is not in either the best interests of Dom, Dane or Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
