Off the top of my head you can add Romero, Vicario, Udogie, VdV, Maddison, Sarr, Bentancur, Dragusin with lengthy absences.

I don't think Postecoglou is the man to take the club forward next season, but lets be fair, the injuries to numerous key players for extended periods has cost points and places on the table.

I guess we are about to find out.

Pretty much everyone is back now and as much as fans might think about sacking off the league, there’s no way Ange and the players will be comfortable losing games. They will be trying to win every PL game left… let’s see what it looks like with everyone back.

Which academy players came through for Chelsea this year?
Didn't say this year, but more generally:Colwill, James, Gallagher, Chalobah, Hall (sold for big money) in recent years.

But let's discount those players and compare this year only:
Chelsea:
George 16 Apps all comps
Acheampong 8 Apps
Tauriainen 2, Dyer 1, Rak-Sakyi 4, Ampah 1, Murray-Campbell 1, Antwi 1, Mheuka 3
Total 37 Apps to 9 players

Spurs - with an unprecedented injury crisis:
Moore 16
Lankshear 6
Scarlett 4
Ajayi 1
Olusesi 1
Dorrington 1
Total 29 Apps to 6 players.

Which academy would you sign for????

So why keep playing the same system and losing when you know your best players are missing for months not a few weeks ?
don't gve me to reinforce his system he's had 18 mths training tme to do that

Based on what he said and the players have said, they've been training using youth players. When the starters aren't there to train together how do you bed the system in with them?

Secondly if he changes systems, he ends up with the half squad drilled one system, and half in another.

The third goal against AZ was straight from the training ground according to Maddison. That's what can happen when the squad is able to train together.

To an extent I think you are correct.

The problem or issue is that we are now nearing the season's end,so unsure there is sufficient time for what you suggest.

My view is that the guy talks a lot of emotionally intelligent sense, as exemplified by his most recent press conference. That's distinct from overseeing a style of play tbat controls and ultimately wins football matches.

I just don't see him delivering

I'm predicting 13 more points on the rest of the Prem season

Fulham - D
Chelsea - L
Southampton - W
Wolves - D
Nottm Forest - L
Liverpool - L
West Ham - D
Crystal Palace - W
Aston Villa - D
Brighton - W

That would take us to 47 points.

Good morning.
Naah.

More like;

Fulham - D (borderline loss)
Chelsea - L (absolute tonking)
Southampton - W (meh)
Wolves - L (borderline draw)
Forest - L (back shots from Wood all game. I will get my coat...)
Liverpool - L (league celebration tonking)
West Ham - L (borderline draw)
Palace - L (pitiful pussyhole pathetic loss)
Aston Villa- L (Rashford England recall inspired stonking loss)
Brighton - L (end of empire vibes tonking as holiday plans kick in)

4 points.

All whilst he is allegedly going to win a trophy in his second season 🙄

Not saying it can't happen- but, you don't think we can sneak in even one or two wins out of that with a "fully fit" squad?

Considering they are in the conference league which is the same standard as PL2, I’d say the two clubs are comparable.

Willing to bet we gave way more PL minutes to academy kids this season.

The past you have a point but that doesn’t change overnight.

That's your view. Fully recognise opposing opinions.

I don't think he is the right fit for us but I think he makes a lot of points that are hard to argue against.

I don't club myself alongside anyone else and draw my own conclusions.

ok fair enough. Yes that's my view. I disagree on the points hard to argue against but I don't mind that you interpret it how you do. Be really pleased when he moves on though:dude:

I think I share the same keenness to see Postecoglou move on, but wil caution myself against what I also wish for.

The grass Is not always greener so much depends on the thinking of Levy and co.

We are a peculiar club, so its not as simple as saying we get manager 'X' and we are in Wonderland.
