A club of this size and even this squad should be able to put a decent effort in to both.
We should be more than capable of finishing top 6 and winning a league or FA cup.
I’m really not buying into this thing of we’ve regressed so much that we now can’t beat Fulham, because we have to focus on the Europa (I know you haven’t said this but it was the feeling with others in the thread the other day).

Agree, we should. Clearly didn't have a big/deep enough squad for it this year. Poch always used to sack them off.
I think Poch was always given that top 4 mandate wasn’t he, saying that he did make a few semi’s/finals.
I think the squad this year is big enough (good enough is arguable) though I do honestly think we will miraculously see less injuries next year if Ange isn’t here and might push on in both league and cups.

Do I think he will get sacked this international break? Nope, he will probably get the opportunity to crash out of the Europa League as well. However, I do remember that Poch was sacked and replaced by Mourinho pretty late in the international break. Same when Conte got sacked, he was sacked over a week after the Southampton game. I'm clutching straws here...

There are allegations in the U.S. that the USMNT at the youth level intentionally doesn’t select top Latin players. They want “American” players, so a lot of players from the U.S. end up playing for Mexico and other national teams.
I live in the US and can tell you the top youth sides tend to be dominated by players whose families are from Latin America.
All this to say, why would Poch want to be a part of something like that?
