He’s right about that.

There’s always a negative with this club.

No matter what happens, there’s an obsession with finding a disruptive twist on it.

Tottenham doom mongering sells, the journos have cottoned onto it, doesn't help when the social media element of this fanbase encourage it.

I don't think it will ever stop with this club unless we win stuff and win stuff consistently, the negative stories were still around when Poch had us challenging.

You always want a trophy. Even if it meant Postecoglou coming back I'd still want the trophy. With the toxic atmosphere around him, a big part of which he generates, I don't think he would last out the full season next year anyway.
Winning a second rate trophy at the cost of Ange coming back is a Pyrrhic victory. It sets us back another year in fact, because we don't get our choice of managers available in the summer, we won't get much of anything in the summer transfer period as Levy will not spend for a manager who has left him unconvinced, and if we're in the CL Levy will be loathe to sack Ange next year as well, even if he richly deserves it as he does this year.

As part of the fan base I'm very much part of the doom mongering.

I've been so beaten down by the club I'm essentially subterranean.

RIP our club history and trophy cabinet if the UEFA cup is just a 'second rate trophy '

interesting Johnson saying he wants really win the Europa league for the group of players and the staff, when directly asked about responding with a europa win to Woolwich fans chants against real madrid.
tbf I probably wouldn't care much for the spurs fans either I was him

He was asked if despite the goals he's scored this season he feels under appreciated, he said he feels appreciated within these 4 walls by the staff and the club. Absolutely intentionally left out the fans and the media.

They have gone for a siege mentality to end the season and they probably have to.

Amazing that other clubs escape it but whatever, Spurs fans haven't been "in the club" since the PL started. It's boring and predictable these days. i doubt many of us even notice anymore.

Ange just got here tho, I remember how annoying it was for me at the start as well.

By definition the Europa league is a second rate trophy. Not sure why that would be controversial. It is literally the second competition of Europe. Look at the clubs involved and tell me that this is elite.

Given the rewards + our lack of trophy success, yes even a second rate trophy is huge.

Europa yes. UEFA was historically more difficult to win that the old European Cup.
