So from what i read the general conensus is his job is untenable at the end of this season even if we win a cup and qualify for CL.
But on the other hand we're tired of finishing top 4 and having nothing to show for it every year.

Postecoglou is just the scape goat now for them to reset and give everyone false hope, there will never be real success and every manager will struggle.

My view
I was only saying; not having seen the game ; that points-wise we’re not getting anywhere near the European places ( barring a miracle/ strange results involving other clubs) . I’ve come to accept that .
Given that all a higher, non-European league position gets us is money : Then maybe that triggers something in our Chairman’s mind that , actually, something needs to be done . Income seems to matter to the fella .
I can’t see us getting anything from the League; we’ve got to realistic .So we’ve got to go all in on Thursday night. Then it’s onto the next roll of the dice in the Europa . Or else plan for the future.
Either way ; today , whilst it could have been a morale-booster: won’t;
a) define our league performance all year .
b) determine whether our season has been a success or not .
Therefore: it’s not that important to me ; unless it gives everyone a kick up the arse to ensure they don’t fuck up on Thursday. Here on in ; that’s all that matters to me .

Did they? It didn't feel like there was a lack of effort. Players were trying .. they just sucked and then made ridiculous mistakes.
