Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just head the most wonderful description of our situation from a mate.

Think of Spurs as an Orchestra. Ange is the conductor.

When he took over, the Trumpet player Miles Davis left and was replaced by Roy Castle.

Jimi Hendrix on Guitar injured his finger, and the 17 year old drummer from a local school band was asked to step in, dispite never having played guitar before.

Nigel Kenedy on an extended break after a disastrous haircut, but it's ok, the owners have lined up Jedward to replace him.

The next few gigs weren't great, so they fired the conductor.
Conductor asked them to warm up by running on the spot and they all pulled their hammies.

You know, I actually think Ange will keep his job if Spurs win tonight. Here's my thinking.

We're a fickle lot and even when we lose to a bottom club, the next win and we're all happy again. The mood after a win tonight will make us forget the league - it's done now, anyway.

We'll be in the CL and it's a fresh start next season. Sacking Ange will be yet another confirmed Levy managerial failure. And if he wins this trophy, he'll technically be the most successful Spurs manager in years - just can't see Levy sacking him if we win. Imagine congratulating Ange in landing a European trophy, with his P45. I think he'd get a decent transfer window and all finger crossed for a good start in the league. If we win.

If we lose tonight, Ange is gone, either tomorrow or after the Brighton game (most likely).
I'd like to see a new manager brought in, but I won't be surprised if winning the trophy saves his job. When he was hired I thought we'd be stuck with him for three seasons and that still feels right. If he stays, there will be improvement in the tables if for no other reason than things can't get worse. What could then be his undoing is the Champion's League. Based on what he has done up until now and where the squad is at in terms of talent and experience, I think Spurs will struggle there. Eventually, all the excuses will play out and we can finally move on.

Things can get worse... 18th, 19th, 20th are all worse than 17th.
Levy likes money
Ange is costing him money about 50m in league placement this year alone
There go Levy is going to put Ange out of his misery at 10am tomorrow morning (if we don't win tonight) or 10am Monday morning (if we do win tonight).

Im in absolutely no doubt that two legal documents have been drawn up already at The Lodge :

If we win tonight : he takes the last game of the season. Gets a bonus for winning the EL. Thanked officially etc and let go as part of the "rebuilding" project the club now "needs to do" after the dismal league season and the return of Don Paratici.

If we lose : gets sacked on return, compo paid, "results were not as expected" first thing stated, very little thanks officially other than the usual blah and ushered out.

One of those documents gets signed by the weekend

Then he tells the trumpet player he's got to play full pelt for the entire concert without even stopping to breathe then wonders why the trumpet player has keeled over.

If he wins today, he will exit honorably, if he doesn't win....he will be remembered as the worst manager in our history.

Alot is on the line for Ange this game. Hope he gets his head clear and get us through this.

I guarantee Levy will keep him if we win.

Son will be sold to a saudi club for big bucks. We’ll buy a youngster and 1 or 2 players. Sell off some deadwood and probably Romero. Thats your lot. That’s the ENIC way.

I cant see him parting with compo money. I see us banking the CL money and a few players will be sold to fund 1 or 2 players and a youngster.

Yes he will because he won't have any input...he's completely useless and almost certainly won't have instilled any tactics or plan for the game..
So it's up to the lads...
COYS.....and sod off Ange.

He’ll get a song , a statue , a street and even a whole F-ing stadium
( and in due course a London Underground station ) named after him . And quite rightly so .

But he’s not going to be here next year .

It’s the ultimate win-win ; however you want to look at it .

Christ its the Europa League, not the World Cup. Chill out.

If he wins it, cult hero status confirmed and huge monkey off our backs. Massive win. But it's not some insane historic win like the CL win would have been ... its the europa league cup against United.

He can have a thank you, a box of chocolates and we won't call him a fat cunt on the way out.

I was being ironic; there’s no way we’ll get an Underground Station.
