I wouldn’t call the EL second rate ,
But the game is about glory and if it was a choice between coming 5th in the PL or winning the EL , I’d take the EL trophy every time.

Ok but that's not how clubs judge coaches. You choose coaches based on their ability to build/improve a team. You might prefer winning the EL but that's not how it works. It's not like it's a trade off next season of "win EL again or finish top 5" because we're not in the EL next season and this guy isn't winning the bloody CL.

And the EL is second-rate by definition. It is Europe's second competition. The conference league is third rate. That doesn't make the EL anything other than a big trophy to win for us and a huge moment, but it isn't first rate. First rate is a PL title or a CL title.

How many if those comments are personal abuse toward him? And how many are simply critical of his ability in the role of manager?

This hatred of him you think I have simply doesn't exist.

I'll stop, because your either conflating my posts with the many that can't stand Ange the man, or you're just inventing an argument that I'm not having because you're too lazy to actually read what's been written.

Either way, it's pointless to waste any more time with you unless you can do better.

Dude you 're over here literally turning your nose up at Champions League trophies. No one can possibly "be better" than that :D

our owners would rather us finish 5th each season then win the EL , says it all really

For most part of the last 17 years, many fans like to remember us as the cup team. It's amazing suddenly people seems to have enough of it with just one silverware won recently.

Maybe people just don't believe that without the EL to aim for next season we won't win anything (as we didn't in his first season) but instead will just be bogged down by an infinitely harder CL campaign with zero sign that we will recover form in the league? Not hard to work out is it, given the zero signs of actual progress beyond the cup.

Dunno what's so hard about this for some of you. Offering some hypothetical choice of cup or good league form as if that's what we choose next season. Because for sure if we choose Ange again he'll definitely knock Liverpool out of the FA cup or Madrid out the CL just by virtue of his winningness.

We'll just be shit in the league again, go out the domestic cups to a top PL side and go out the CL to the first elite european team we face .. if we make it out the league stage.

No, Herc just wants us to win the Champion's League AND finish 2nd otherwise it's an unearned pot that should be melted down for scrap.

He's driving standards forward don't you see? BE BETTER :D

Yeah, in the totally realistic scenario of us finishing 17th in the league again, I am figuratively turning my nose up at that sure fire CL trophy that we'd absolutely beat the likes of Real Madrid, Barca, PSG, Bayern, and Liverpool for whilst those chumps focus on being good at their day job.

They wouldn't lol. If we could win the EL every year they'd sign up for that in an instant - CL football, trophy lifted, fans doing parades.

The problem is most sensible people can do the maths and work out we won't be doing that every year under him just because we did it this year, because cup runs like this aren't something you can guarantee.

If he stays, do you think we win the CL next season? Because we won Europa?

Hang on - do you fully understand the nature of a "hypothetical"? You aren't being asked on the likelihood of it. You're being asked on the FACT of it.

I'm sorry if I've misunderstood your misunderstanding...

There is zero chance Levy would take this long to announce Ange simply staying in post.

Some of you guys reasonings are so ambiguous. Have you not noticed all your arguments are assumptions of as if?

It's better than your reasonings of which I've seen genuinely fuck all. I am yet to see a single actual reason to keep this manager other than vibes. Seriously.

We're not in the Europa League next season. There is zero evidence whatsoever Ange can win a single thing against top PL opposition, and in fact a huge body of evidence that his team gets the shit kicked out of it when we come up against elite sides.

You want to keep him here based on winning a EL .. which we aren't in next season so can't win again, and if we keep him here we're unlikely to be in it the season after either as his trajectory in the league is absolutely clear and very downward. So why keep him? Vibes again. That or hoping for an easy run in the league cup or something. Give me a break.

We look like right cunts if we fire Ange. He has earned another year or two. Good quality recruitment to complement the youth will deliver continued success for Ange.

Big Tam Frank. Nice guy. But he's higher risk than Ange, I would say. Who knows how he will cope with the pressure and our schedule of games

There is a very vocal minority of cultists that want The Butcher to stay.

Painful, screeching dissonance.

Need him gone so it can stop.

Lol - the vast vast majority of Spurs fans are happy to shake Ange's hand, thank him from the bottom of our hearts, and wish him the best in the rest of his career.

There were 250, 000 of us in North London the other week.

The "vocal minority" causing "painful screeching dissonance" are the incel basement dwellers who have spent most of their time since we won a fucking European Trophy trying to piss on regular fans chips about it.

Christ the levels of delusion about this fan base. You're all so online you have no idea whatsoever of normal people. :roflmao:
