Slim chance. But I really can't think of anyone who could effect the team than him, which honestly, we really need a reaction now.

Ange was a visionary.
When he first started, he said that it would take 3 or 4 seasons to get the players he wanted, playing the style he wanted.
And the players bought into his vision and were 100% behind him.
Why do you think we bought teenagers like Bergval and Grey? They weren't for the current squad, they were for 2 or 3 years down the track.
And why did they come here instead of somewhere else? Because Ange talked to them and they were convinced of his vision too.

50% of management is to get your squad to believe in what you're doing. Ange did.
I always win a cup in my second season. Ange did.

But all you Nancies on here say..."But when I go to the pub with my mates, they all laugh at me for finishing 17th."
So what.
Ange was looking ahead to the 26/27 or 27/28 season for a run at the PL title.

A true visionary.

It's a pity the management didn't buy into his vision and back him, as we'd be in a lot better place than we are now.

A true visionary would have spotted the relegation battle of 2026 that they were setting us up for.

I can remember the nadir under Mourinho that felt like an utter disaster being 7th in February, I can remember the wheels utterly falling off under Conte being us sat in 5th and within touching distance of 4th, and yet the guy who took us to 17th is a visionary!

The only hope of Ange keeping us up this season sailed off into the sunset the moment he was given the boot by Marinakis.

1. He was not allowed a window and a preseason. We cannot know what he would have changed.
2. Please remind me. Which boot from Marinakis was it? The first, the second, the third? The current position of Forest shows the value of Marinakis decision making.

1. The guy didn't think there's much difference between having Brennan Johnson on the wing or having Leo Messi there at this level, he genuinely believed his tactic of "telling the players to attack and score" was revolutionary. What he would have changed would've been to make the catastrophe of his own creation even worse still.

2. That would be the position of Forest having been winless under him and seemingly bereft of hope now quickly catching up with us. Dyche was shite enough to get the boot too, and was still better than Ange for them hands down.

Frank was a disaster for us, Tudor is shaping up to be pretty disastrous. Neither of those facts in any way alter the fact that Ange was also disastrous. They are purely guilty of not being able to rectify the absolute catastrophe that Ange created, on so many levels.

1. Is that why he raised the point of wanting proven players like Semenyo, Guehi and co in his interview and the disappointment at getting teenagers? Because he doesn’t understand the difference between what players bring?

2. You say his efforts in 5 weeks at Forest (playing two games a week without any real time to alter their style from the defensive one they had been playing and a lazy playing group with too much power as evidenced by Marinakis consulting them before firing Dyche as well) weren’t good enough and his fault and prove your point but then go on to say that managers who have had a pre season, extended periods with a side and the time to coach them and couldn’t effect change in more than half a season is also because of him???

On one hand you’re saying you should be able to change a squads fortunes in weeks regardless of how they’re travelling before you arrive and on the other you say they can’t do it in over half a season because of how the previous manager had them travelling?

Seriously, make it make sense.

Didn’t bother with his overlap interview

This statement was pure self preservation. At the time he was telling us it was his choice to sign young players. I get that it might not have been but once you’ve taken credit for signing Gray and Bergvall, you can’t walk that back later.

Yes .
He signed the young players, and he managed to get them because he talked to them about his long term vision.
They were both excellent buys.
But does that negate the fact that he ALSO wanted Semenyo, Guehi etc.?
No. That's down to the management not backing him.

Sure but he’s not said he wanted both. I went and watched the clip, he was making it like the club were too cheap to give both and gave him kids when he wanted Semenyo Neto etc
