It would be trolling if I had arrived on the scene this season or recently. Why was it not considered trolling last season? I have been a member of this forum since I was a teenager like 13/14 years ago! Definitely premeditated this golden period of Ange trolling haven't I 🙄

Surely remembering better times when the big man was leading us is a positive? You're only perceiving it as a negative or trolling because you do not agree or align with my posts.

Good Lord, this thread has lost all of its entertainment value. Extremes in social discourse tend to get very boring.

I suspect the vast majority of fans have mixed feelings about Ange. The 2nd league season was disastrous, whatever rationale is advanced for the reasons why, but a 5th place finish in the first season was impressive and we will always be grateful for the Europa.

He was never as bad as the haters here insist, nor was he as good as his more extreme advocates suggest.

Maybe this thread should be decommissioned. It adds nothing to the Forum at this point.

This cracks me up! Many of those who hated Ange actually aligned with the Hierarchy of the club in the decision making.

In fact, for many years, thought ( many others too ) that those in power take the thoughts and opinions of the fanbase onboard WAY more than they should.

This creates an unusual circumstance of what I would best identify as a inverted cycle / reciprocal reinforcement loop / spiral. It is in part to the reason we find the title "spursy" and absolutely reason to why we NEED new ownership or direction at our core.

We however as supporters / fans have a huge part in this, and at this point to say otherwise is pure negligance.

This is the reason you (potentially from what I read) and many on here get so frustrated. You see my stubbornness and support for Ange as "loony" when in actual the hate and despise for him was in part created the set of circumstances we now find ourselves in.

We NEED real footballing people in charge at this club, not less. Ange was undoubtedly one of them. Perfect? Maybe not... But was he the best we had at the time and realistically is right now?

You know what I believe.

The hierarchy of the club is shit, everyone knows it, you're not being clever by pointing it out.

Ange is crap. He facilitated this normalisation of losing on a weekly basis that has become ingrained in these players.

Never in the previous 20 odd years of the same hierarchy have we been as bad as we were under Ange.

We're currently being spanked 5-1 in Europe despite playing 5 at the back and unable to create a chance that isn't a set piece.

Probably would have been much worse without the tactical set-up we now have and the extra coaching that FINALLY happens, rather than your "car-salesman" like approach...

Look at all the coaching this year - Kinsky has just had an absolute blinder!! Much better than when you brought him in vs Liverpool and all the fans thought he was the next coming of Casillas.

What would this silly cunt know about winning champions league games or beating a team as good as Atletico ??? He was bottom of the group with the only CL team he managed. Atletico are a level and class ahead of any Europa side he managed against.

I hope someone like AEK Athens throws this guy a fucking bone soon so we can stop seeing the total poser bigging up his own ego on the sidelines.
 
I must have missed us beating some decent teams in the Europa last Season. I seem to remember us beating a team that, in the champions League this season, has beaten Athletico, Inter, Sporting, and Man City. Of course Bodo do not count for some here because they don't have an historical pedigree, and so they must be shit.

He's won at every single level - from Sunday League to International to Europa League. That tells me he knows how to manage individuals, how to manage a squad, how to instil belief and a winning mentality in both part time players and players at the top level of the game. Meanwhile, you criticise from your mum's basement, having never achieved anything at any level in football.
