I suppose you’ll have to just wonder, unless you fancy signing up to a Wigan forum and asking the question.I remember the season when Wigan won the FA Cup and got relegated, I wonder in the big scheme of things whether they'd prefer that trophy over a greater win % and more opportunity to establish themselves as a Premier League club?
I suppose every supporter has their priorities, mine is to see the team win more games than they lose. I don't want a dreadful depressing season losing match after match with or without a trophy at the end of it.
I didn't start watching football or supporting Spurs to see the team lift trophies, I like the part of the game when we're playing great football and winning the majority of the matches, a trophy after 22 league defeats doesn't rectify the misery of observing that season.
It's nothing against Postecoglou in particular, I never want to see a season like that one or this one again.
What you don’t have to wonder about is the numerous posts on this forum, particularly the ENIC one, from fans of our own club, saying they’d swap regular top six for one FA Cup and two relegations. Obviously this was before Bilbao.
