Poch sacked and got hired by PSG. And he clearly failed at the end of his fucking time here because it went wrong you spoon. But his overall spurs legacy was viewed as a success hence being hired by a European giant.

Conte sacked because he threw tantrums and demanded it and then hired by Napoli, a top European team.

Jose was fucking stinking at spurs, imagine pretending the league cup final changes that.

Ange was overall viewed as failing at Tottenham. Managers viewed as being an overall success at Tottenham don’t find their job opportunities limited to clubs managed by Greeks.

It’s really as simple as this.

Napoli are not a top European team. That doesn't diminish what Conte did in Italy.

So many people falling for it. Got to be more cute. They are sucking you in too easily. Abandon sh!t.

Yes, I know what I did.
What The Hell Wtf GIF

They’re a fuckload bigger than Nottingham Forest mate and had recently won a title in Conte’s home country where he prefers to work.

Conte wasn’t a big success at Spurs. He had one good one bad season. Hence why he had to settle for a sideways move.

Ange was viewed (not by me, by the wider football community) as overall failing. Hence he took a downward move. And not just downward, but a huge fall off in terms of club status, and probably pay too.

It’s not hard to work out. If I did a fantastic job at work and got binned, I’d expect other companies of a similar or better level to be interested based on my work. That’s generally how football works. You guys make out it’s so obvious Ange was a success at spurs - well, football doesn’t agree with you, hence he has to scrabble around.

Sigh.

Once again because I must:

5th place and a European Trophy (and league cup semi final) in a season decimated by injury is, self-evidently more successful than what we've endured this season.

You got what you wanted. It turned out to be a catastrophe. It's not your fault - EXCEPT YOU JUST WONT OWN IT.

It really is that simple. You don't have to say Postecoglou is/was a great manager. You simply have to admit that he wasn't the main problem at Spurs.

But you won't. Because, sadly, you're Deranged.

Conte's Napoli got pounded by PSV and finished with a lower champions league points tally than the mighty Quarabag FC and Pafos FC.

I'd put Forest ahead of PSV, let alone Napoli

Besides Italian football is a shadow of its former self. Winning that league isn't what it was.

By your rationale, the likes of Allardice and Dyche getting top level gigs and none outside their home country I suppose makes them highly successful managers too?

The fact is foreign coaches especially from third tier regions need to prove their worth far more than local ones or ex-players to get top level jobs. It took Posteogclou nearly 25 years to make it to Europe. And then he won one of its major trophies.

Fifth, two cup semi's and one European trophy at a club starved of success is not a failure.

Waiting for the scratched vinyl LP...

But we finished 17th and had 22 losses....

Ok, then I expect better teams than Forest to be fighting for his signature.

That or they are all deranged, and aren’t interested in the chubby Aussie bloke. Maybe they have a point. Or maybe his Postecoglite, Angeboi cult are right.

I know what my money is on - European football has judged him not worthy.

And he failed. The fucking bum. 25 years to get here and he had our worst premier league finish and didn’t beat a single one of our biggest rivals. The loser.

He won a second tier cup the actual European elite look down on while failing utterly at developing his team. The complete and utter tit.

He then got a double sacking at a much smaller club because he couldn’t win a game. Meaning his last 19 league games in England says 1 win.

And he’ll never muddy these shores again as a football manager.

You're still doing it. You can't stop. You can't help yourself.

I'm not asking you to say he's a "top manager".

We are on the brink of relegation. We haven't won a premier league game for FOUR FUCKING MONTHS. We are on our 3rd Manager of the season.

All that's being asked is that you acknowledge that 5th place and a European Trophy with the squad at his disposal is much better than what came afterwards.

But you just can't bring yourself to do it. Because you're Deranged.

The Spurs faithful certainly didn't consider it to be a second tier cup.

You're still going on about a 3-2 away loss to Galatasary in 2024 in a competition we ended up WINNING.

How on earth do you think this plays in the favour of... whatever fucking point it is you think you're trying to make? 😭
I replied to a question.

Your fanatical about Ange mate.....you jumped on me with a load of my post history, strange bro considering we wasnt even in a conversation

It’s very obvious why premier league teams don’t appoint Ange.

He needs to change his promise.

It’s all well and good offering a guaranteed trophy in the second season. Problem is the average time for a manager in the league these days is about 18 months. Clubs want immediate success. That’s the game.

If he could guarantee a trophy in his first season instead the clubs would be knocking down his door.

All about how your position your brand.

Good to know my MBA did not go to waste.

Dearie me - I have dealt with this lame, pathetic, point so many times - I'll just repost one of my earlier ones because you don't deserve the respect of a fresh response. Do better!

In person, every Spurs fan I know sees Ange as a legend that won us our biggest trophy in 40 years. He also had 1 good league season out of 2 and reached SFs of both domestic cups.

His time was on balance a massive success AND you can argue that 17th place was enough to get sacked.

That argument would have been much stronger if his successor wasn’t the worst manager in our history but tbh, the fact that we got worse in the league AFTER Ange only helps solidify his legend status,

The only people who really dispute this are on the internet because they prefer to defend their takes on him instead of celebrating what he achieved. In person, I bet they all sing Ange songs in the pub.

Poch is also a legend but it will always hang over him that he never actually won anything.

He's only not liked by a couple of insecure weirdos on the internet, that shit doesn't exist in real life.

Basically yeah

And, I’m happy they went the De Zerbi route instead of bringing him back.

I’ll be honest here, removing emotional attachment, I think I’m also happy they went De Zerbi instead of waiting until the summer for Poch.

what they would’ve done if they actually had a plan would’ve been to get Poch or De Zerbi after Ange. And if niether were possible, get a coach with a similar mentality

Everyone I know loves Ange. And Daniel. Legendary status once you lift one of the two major European trophies.

The “Daniel Ange Dream Duo Years” is how we like to refer to them.

And yet some people on here claim we have issues!! Unbelievable.

The further away from his sacking we get, the better Ange's tenure looks. De Zerbi may bring us back to relevance. If he does, this thread will become irrelevant.

in the meantime...5000 incoming.
